I'm so glad for your video!! Thanks so much for being so detailed... I' m a former Singer girl, never been tech saavy, you know, "old school"!! So appreciative for all the info! My machine has been in the box for a whole year, not because I didn't want to learn, just life gets in the way!! I see that I"m 3 years behind the curve.. when I see you next , you will probably have robots sewing for you!! LOL ...

I have this machine and it's fantastic. I bought it six years ago and it's working like a clock . It's not my first machine but I'm a Janome fan through and through. 2 sewing machines and a serger 😊Thanks for sharing

I bought this machine refurbished- most like someone with buyers remorse returned it. They inspected it and resold it. It was just like new and hasn't had any issues in the years that I've now had it. This machine is so easy it's like you're cheating. My favorite features are the stop/start button and scissor button. I never use the pedal with this machine.

Thank you SO much for this video! I have had a Janome 4120QDC for 11 years and it is a great machine! I learned a lot from your video about all the features that I did not know how to use all those years. Regarding the box with all the tools and feet for the machine, can it be purchased separately? I lost most of my items including the card with the stich reference over the years. Thanks again for the great content here!

I have followed her tutorial with doing decorative stitching but all i get is a mess. It does straight stitching fine but i can’t seem to get it to do any decorative stitching. Any suggestions? I have the mode set…choose my stitch…F foot… and I still get garbage. No form at all. Would love any suggestions.

This is the link to the user manual look at page 60 of the user manual called Correcting deformed stitch patterns www.janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/computer-models/inst-book-4120qdc.pdf for instructions on how to achieve a better looking stitch first. There are other tricks you can apply once your machine is set properly. For machine washable fabric you can use spray starch to stiffen the fabric to help alleviate the fabric from pulling or puckering. Also you can use stabilizers on the back of the fabric ex. a wash away stabilizer or a light weight tear away stabilizer to provide extra control when using decorative stitches if desired. If adjusting the balancing screw doesn't give you the correct looking stitch consider taking your machine to a Janome Dealer to have them look at it.

I have the same machine, this afternoon I tried to make a wallet, at the beginning it was perfect but the more I was adding parts I had difficulties with sewing, for example the machine didn't realize some stiches. I finished it with all the imperfections, it was my first one. And it's when I cleaned my machine that I was thinking about the pressure on the foot, did I think good or not ?

This machine can do free motion quilting, however the throat space is a little tight. You might consider moving up to a model with a little bigger throat space. The 6700P is a great choice. Thanks for watching our videos.

I just bought this machine. When I choose the option to make a knot at beginning of stitch, the first stitch always makes a loop on top of fabric. It also does that with any decorative stitches. Is there something I can do to fix this?

I just got this machine and it has a static sound like an electrical hum. The dealer said it's from the fuses. My old Brother is completely silent, no static hum. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I just don't want to keep a defective machine.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the following Janome 4021QDC, Janome 4021QDC-B, and the Janome 4021QDC-T. I can’t seem to figure out the difference. There is a price difference so I am assuming it not just this years new model. Also the features listed on the Canadian Janome website are different than the USA Janome website. I appreciate sharing your knowledge with me. I want to ensure I purchase the right one. Thanks

@alwaysinstitches5388

hit the mode button until mode one is displayed, then hit option 4 for the needle position to go to the far left. Hit 1 for it to return to center.

In the manual Adjusting the needle drop position, you can use the + and - on the stitch width adjustment key to change the needle drop position. This is available for stitch patterns 1-5 (mode 1 and 2) and 1-3 (mode 3)

@alwaysinstitches5388
@alwaysinstitches5388 2 жыл бұрын
One trick to make it easier is to needle down then needle up and lock the machine while you use the needle threader and double check with the reference manual to insure the thread is passing by all the crucial points illustrated in the manual of optimal threading performance. Once you got it down practice it ten times! I had to do this to figure mine out on my Janome HD9, took me quite awhile but now I have it down.
