Last week this song was played as the last piece of music at a very sad funeral of a young woman died on cancer, I'v attended. Everyone was asked to sing and whistle along while the casket left the room and it was unbelievable, it was a cheerful ending and all of us were laughing trough our tears. It really was her last wish. Best funeral music ever. And now, seeing Eric singing it brings joy and sadness simultaneously.

I had a really close friend who passed away young. He was in the Army Reserve, a deputy chief in the fire department and an amazing husband and father. He loved this song. Last time we saw each other as I was leaving the hospital I could hear him start to whistle this from his room. Of course I joined in. Our last laugh together was this song. Teeth apart. The front of the tongue touching bottom row, and back touching roof of mouth. Lips in an o shape. If you are making the "w" sound in "water", the first shape of you lips is roughly what you want. Hold that position, and start blowing while slowly opening and closing your jaw but keeping the lips in place. Vary the amount of air a bit. Eventually you will get it, and once you do it becomes easy. If you get a weak sound at some point that almost sounds like a proper whistle, you are close. Just keep playing around with it.
