I think that Roosterteeth still doesn't quite know how to deal with Steven's sense of humour? I think Geoff gets it because he's so cynical himself, but everyone else is used to bright, outgoing and friendly people, and Steven is essentially someone who parodies that and intentionally makes people uncomfortable. Funhaus and Cow Chop are both difficult too, but Funhaus is a bit more straight with it.

This is where I and a lot of RT's regular audience split off. This by far for me was my favorite Always Open of the few I've watched. I love SP7's comedy and I think this worked even better than that On The Spot episode. Everyone has different tastes of humor but if Sugar Pine becomes a regular RT thing on LetsPlay and stuff then I'll become a regular viewer

Some people may not watch SP7 and think that this is a bad episode. I have never laughed more. SP7 and Always Open are my favorite Rooster Teeth content and this was the best thing I've ever seen!

I mean. I get the humor. But it doesn't appeal to me. Sometimes it's hard to interpret too and can honestly come off as either derpy humor or immature humor. It doesn't help that SP7 can be a bit immature sometimes too. And it doesn't quite mesh with the rest of RT's humor so maybe the others are like me and get it, but they came here for an RT podcast. Not an RT podcast which featured SP7 humor.

I love the SP7 boys to bits, and I liked this episode, but I can see how some people who maybe aren't familiar with them or don't enjoy their type of humor could find this episode off-putting. I think Cib and Suppy would be great guests separately, but together they feed off of each others tangent type of energy and makes for an awkward show.

Their comedic style was much more effective here than On the Spot. His dry soulless demeanor and their unique mannerisms worked well. While they can come off as over zealous sometimes, they are showing more restraint and it works for a more natural feel for the comedy. I dig it.

I say cut Steven some slack. He mentioned his severe social anxiety and was clearly thrown off by Barbara springing the outfits on them (and if you watch his expressions, there were points he realized there were gags not worth continuing). He mentioned several times leading up to this on the Boys Only Club podcast that he was excited to be invited on Always Open. Frankly I'm just surprised that Cib seemed to behave better than Steven at points. Part of me feels like Mariel and Barbara should've swapped outfits. Similar eye colors, Steve and Mariel have a similar tone of voice, Cib and Barb are both Canadian... Although I admit Mariel clearly did her research and worked very hard to do Cib impressions, and Barb/Steve at least share similar complexion.
