I shoot in manual mode and I set the shutter speed first. I need to stop movement on people in the street. But aperture is important because as you said in the vdeo, you want to include some things and exclude other things.

I just purchased an Eos R with a 28mm pancake RF lens and a Canon Battery Grip and also a RF 50mm 1.8 ..... I am happy to own thi little camera, It's not a 1DX MK III, or a Canon 5DSR..... but It's perfect to walk around and as a backup .....

@0:37 You made my point that aperture is not the first thing you set. ISO is the first thing you set. It is the least important or is it? Aperture does one thing controls depth of field it's a one trick pony.

If you drive to a forest to shoot a wedding couple Images, most use 1.2 or 1.4 or 1.8 but the problem is the couple wants to see the location they were at to remember in the future that day ...... I shoot mostly at F4 because DOF is fantastic and the people can remember the location because is still visible ........

Come on Hayward! @ 05:44. “Everything in Focus?’ You’re TOO good to be saying that. I know what You were meaning to say, but this is a pet peeve of mine, when Photographers start talking about having so much in focus. There is only one point/plane of true focus, and DOF determines how that drops off and is perceived by the eye. No offense intended; I enjoy your channel, and Your Photography. 👍

You’re speaking technically, and of course, everything is never in focus. I was speaking subjectively as to how the image comes across meaning having a very deep focus. Sorry if I was imprecise.
