Dude. Boonlake is so good at this you always get to take a turn on another players turn. It’s so good for that

Really? A respected friend of mine gave me a negative review of the game and I didn’t learn more after that, but I always look into every recommendation that comes from my KZbin comments. I will give Boonlake a shot! Thank you for sharing!!

@@theperfectboardgame we think it’s a fun game. Goes a tad long though
@mrbastos7 ай бұрын
@@bestatstartrek2179 agree. We enjoyed it at 4p but it was long, I think 3P would probably work best, but yes every turn you're engaged because every action has a 2nd part for everyone else (and most include the person whose turn it is too).

Planet Unknown is one of my favorite simultaneous play games 👍

Great recommendation. However, looks to be out of print now! I will be on the lookout.

Daybreak looks really cool. Jumped up my wishlist. I'm blanking on some of our simultaneous favorites (other than roll and writes). Fantastic Dactories comes to mind, but we've only played twice, need to play it more. Also, we've been trying to play Spirit Island faster by having everyone just take their moves at the same time, but ofter people are doing fun things on their turns and we all want to watch each other's turns play out.

There are so many games about factories, I had to look that one up to verify whether or not I have played it. I have not! It looks like a combination of Macchi Koro and Gizmos… I want to know more. Also, thank you for mentioning Spirit Island!

Karuba! I also really enjoy this game. Different every play. I also have Raising Robots and Earth, though I've yet to play them.

Glad to hear it. I hope you like Earth and Raising Robots; they are vastly more complicated! If you remember, please share your opinion with me once you have tried the other two. I’d be curious to hear how you compare all three.

what do you mean you're still playing Earth a year later? that's not how we do it in this hobby😂

Crazy, right!? 😆

Can you explain how wingspan is simultaneous? This is a new game to us and we have only played a couple of times, but it is definitely not simultaneous for us.
@theperfectboardgame7 ай бұрын
Wingspan is not simultaneous. Not at all. I am saying that Raising Robots is like playing Wingspan IF Wingspan was simultaneous.

You think Tiny Towns is a better game than Rainforest City?
@theperfectboardgame7 ай бұрын
If you are asking which of the two I personally prefer, my answer is Rainforest City. It is a more challenging game with more factors to consider and it integrates the theme brilliantly. But which game is “better” depends on what you are looking for. Tiny Towns is an abstract strategy game, whereas Rainforest City is based on the food chains of actual species that live in Singapore. While Rainforest City is driven by cards and has that element of luck, Tiny Towns is pure strategy. In Rainforest City, there are eight cards and you can choose between a pair from those eight, depending on what your opponent selects. In Tiny Towns, your opponent choose a resource and every player takes the exact, same thing. In Rainforest City, every card you add makes your forest bigger and gives you more animals and objectives to be concerned with. In Tiny Towns, your space is limited and as soon as you can no longer build, you are “out”. The games are similar in that they share the format of one player making a choice and every player being affected by it, then each player simultaneously placing the card/resource into their grid to satisfy various placement objectives.
