Man that play at 1:22 is so special, because he understood the scouting report and used it to his advantage. Harden drives left to the lane, he has the advantage, Dort knows he's going to initiate contact to avoid a contest at the rim, so he backs off before harden can put his body into him allowing him to go for the clean block. Elite defensive IQ, extremely rare let alone the fact its a G league Rookie doing it 🔒

This series made him known by everyone. I was already impressed on his defense on James Harden when I saw it before. I think that was on January. I remember that I'm one of the first people requesting from this channel to make defensive highlights of him but that was so early that time. He hasn't played a lot of games. I think that little while after the Capela trade that the rockets were playing “micro-ball” will always be one of my favorite teams I got to watch live. Can deffo have an Andre Iguodala career and possibly a Kawhi type of career if he develops a sweet and consistent jumper like 60% from mid and 37% from 3, plus he has one of the greatest Mid Range scorer on his team in CP3 plus CP3 the greatest at scoring the elbow mid range which we see Kawhi uses a lot, plus his slashing game already good due to his amazing physique just need to add in some post spins and creative drives like euro steps and etc, the Kid definitely has bright future

No disrespect he is doing a terrific job staying between ball and basket. But he has help behind him which is why James couldn’t drive, as well as the fact unlike most younger players he is very disciplined and does not reach very much. There aren’t too many guys that solid in the league and play straight up without gambling and putting in the effort to fight through screens. Makes you a lot tougher mentally than switching, shows a level of competitiveness on the other end something that is missing from this era. Used to be a few guys on the team simply to stagger star production. This kid will have a long career and earn a great rep if he bleeds this into his next campaigns
