If your best player is a 1, 2 or 3 then Dort's got you. He's become pretty solid offensively now but there is no pressure on him on that end especially in the playoffs. Just take out the biggest gun on the other team and hit a couple of threes.

It’s sad that big man have such an advantage to win DPOY. Dort doesn’t have the flashy blocks or steals. His stat sheet is borderline average at times but when you watch him play defense it really is ELITE. Guys like him get overlooked so often because a 7 footer is averaging 3 blocks a game. Also with the physicality of the playoffs it benefits Dort style a lot.

Funny yal want to give dort props against BI (who alot of yal is saying is a bum now) but wont be real about the situation. BI had a rest of this season endin injury deep bone bruise 2-3 month recovery time BI came back in 2 1/2 weeks because his team went from 4th place the night he got injured to 7th place by time he said fuck it ima try to play thru it and atleast tried to fight thru it to give his team the best chance at winning and also because people would have DOGGED him for being soft if he didnt play in the playoffs even tho others have not logged a playoof minute and get a passhe played thinking he can atleast be a distraction to stop teams from being able to double and triple team Z cause CJ is a known playoff choker yet will jack shots at random. Plus to add to the fact that Dort was clearly fouling, holding, hacking and impeding landing space all series plus double/ triple teaming a 65% BI the whole series. AND Dort was flopping. But go on.

How have you missed him over the years? He's been arguably the best defensive guard in the game since the 2020 season. He has regularly guarded the other teams best 1-4 and been defensively dominant. We watched him shut down, multiple times, prime Harden and then, he'd move on to shutting down LBJ. Dudes been an issue for a while now. Look at him.... he might be short than most forwards but Dort is built like a TE who physically imposes his will on whoever he is defending, height dont matter.

To answer your question, I've heard that if Zion was playing, Lu would get the assignment and J-Dub would be on BI. Switching would be fine if someone was losing the ball handler, but usually they just continue to pursue the ball handler and funnel them into everyone else and ultimately Chet if they're feeling chippy enough to try to get to the rim.

BI or/and CJ McCollum need to be traded. Both took a long time to get themselves open, the team got stagnant during the process. BI needs to learn to catch and shoot, more and better 3s, no more than 3 seconds dribbles, BI is still young and may be he could tweak his game? CJ 3Pt % is 26%, shooting 41.89% against Thunder, for a high volume shooter, these were bad numbers; not to mention Thunder targeted him for his weak defense ; his +/- is -27, -13, -14 for the last 3 games.
