after roughly one year now of enjoying your interviews here dear EB, this is going to be a spontaneous very random, as a first, comment - I enjoy listening to this lady and as always you ask her the right and thoughtful questions, however, I am soooo distracted (yes, I am going to sound awkward, lol) by the so obvious hypermobility of her fingers here, especially min 9:10 on, outch ...maybe someone yould let her know that it is absolutely unhealthy to do that ( finger joint cracking) in case you do have, suffer from the Dehlers Danlos Syndrome (hypermobility of all the joints and connective tissue ...) Sounds funny to say the sound of cracking joints is unnerving, but if you do have EDS, its something you live with all your life and it can cause a variety of also rather seriosus problems ...btw, many ballet dancers :) and gymnasts who are celebrated for extreme mobility actually suffer from it and must work extra, on muscle strength, much more than others ...just saying :), maybe Stela has this without knowing ...eh :), last but not least, I can only agree with all the others here, she's very eloquent for her age and intelligent, she'll make her way of this I am sure ! Best of luck to her and thanks EB for YOUR work here in this respect, I understand you will or you have closed THIS chapter :), speaking of the ladyboy interviews; but all existing material on here so to speak is the best, I greatly enjoyed all of them and I am a straight girl watching, yes :), getting to know the real PEOPLE through your camera lense and thanks to your very sensible and sensitive interaction with them has been both fun and enlightening ! Plus thanks to you I discovered Lydia - who is truly one in a million gem as a PERSON, perhaps you'll agree - she's got skills, in filming and editing ! And is so, so lovely inside and out ...regards and good luck (and joy with!) every new endeavour ! T.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to compile your comment, it was a real pleasure to read! I always appreciate it (and find it insightful) when people get into detail what (or how) they felt about a specific interview I did. Haha, the finger knacking was also something that disturbed me a bit, I even told her to stop doing it at some point (but maybe more because I can be a bit of a control freak at times). But as you mentioned: Stela is an intelligent girl. I am really impressed by what she achieved so far in her life, and I also feel she has the potential to be very successful in her future endeavours. I've watched a great Russian ballet a couple of weeks ago (forgot the name of the play) here in Bangkok, and coincidentally what you mentioned about the ballet dancers also went through my mind: until what age can they perform at their peak until their joints will give up? Can't be very long I assume. Nonetheless, the performance was amazing (really unbelievable how flexible some people can be with their bodies). As for Lydia, I agree! She's an amazing filmmaker. She really knows the craft of storytelling and also to capture it as a complete package. She's one of the most professional people I know within the 'industry'. Not only is she a great filmmaker, she's a real entrepreneur. I definitely got a lot of respect for her. She's came a long way and I'm amazed to see her progress. Not sure if you've seen it but she was featured on a podcast recently. Here's a link just in case: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn-WYZWjbbSVndEsi=roCMA-S0UwoZx_MX Thank you once again for your amazing comment! I absolutely appreciate it ☺️🙏🏻 EB

@@AlwaysAbroad Dearest EB, first of all, thank you so very much ! For taking the time and reply to me, in such detail !!! Oh yes, much appreciated also ! Especially what you tell me about Lydia - more insight for me, of her being indeed such an entrepreneural person :). I am enjoying watching her videos, that are photographed beautifully and convey this certain special, very calming, relaxing vibe. It's already almost her signature, so to say, regardless her subjects ! Thank you ... Now, I really thought I am a little weird maybe, or that is may be slightly inappropriate even to comment on Stelas 'finger cracking', ha :), since obviously nobody else here (but you :)!) noticed. And that actually made me giggle, since I can relate to that... being a little of a control freak thing ! :)... Just another indication that her face, overall appearance and intelligent conversation captures all the right attention, not the hands :), which is good ! Ballet - has it been, by chance, Swan Lake that you went to see in Bangkok? I am glad to know the Russians DO give performances in Thailand rather regularly, as they'll be back with Swan Lake in this December now, 2023 ! Since my parents both were leading violinists at the opera house and I myself rather love to MOVE, to dance to music, instead of sitting still, just listening :), I probably watched Swan Lake alone a dozen times being performed in my childhood, going with my parents and a long time I wanted to become a dancer myself (an idea my Dad was rather strongly opposing to, taking me behind the stage once and asking me, by pointing at the lovely sweating dancers changing hastily costumes bewteen acts, 'well, do you want to look like this with 30, like a 12-year old?' And, enthusiastically, YES! I said, haha ! ...anyway, it is true, it takes a big toll on your body: You must dream BIG and firmly, to pursue a career in dancing whilst being always aware of this, knowing you WILL end up with early arthrosis in all of your joints, especially the knees ecetera ..but, if it's your passion - still that's what you will do and have to do, period ! Also aware at all times of the short time span of your life, that you will physically be ABLE to dance on a professional level ...all dancers know this - but many prefer to push the thought away as long as they can ! Normally, you HAVE to think about 'what I am going to do with the still LONG rest of my life' in your early thirties already (!), most, however, will be dancing professionally nowadays until their early forties ... VERY few and rare exceptions to this, truly GIFTED obviously by higher powers and very skilled ion taking the right care of their bodies were, for example, Maja Plissetzkaya, who STILL performed on stage in her late 70ties !!! One of the most beautiful remarkable HUMANS ever she was ...inside and out. Haha - another intersting topic for you - interviewing younger dancers - 'what are you going to do, afterwards, back to school' !? It's a painful, serious thing to think about for them ...men and women ...but well, enough on that :), sorry it is gont to be rather lengthy again ! My future comments WILL be shorter, smile ... promise ...:) I am really looking forward what will be 'next' for you, dear EB, IF you'll, please :), chose to be so generous :) and make hopefully many more videos for us. And no matter what the 'theme' will be, I'll sure be watching !!! You've got that talent yourself, as already mentiond, to interact with people, find an approach the right way and seemingly more easily than others, its all about genuine curiosity, respect ...and somehow, I really like listening to your voice too, which I also find nicely calming ...:) And YES :), I already have watched the podcast with Lydia, of course :)! She is always very polite and diplomatic in her so very open and truthful responses to even some of the more silly questions :), she's a delight ! And oh yes, I also noticed right form YOUR first encounters with her, she's a strongwilled person :), lol, just like me - good on her, she'll continue to do well, being so true to herself ! Yet humble and kind. Again, she's got it all, one must think ... YOU may ask me, why I am watching ladyboy-interviews, as a woman? Simple and I guess you know the answer: I am also naturally very curious about PEOPLE, their chosen paths in life, their outlook on life. No matter if men, women, ladyboys, all in between, we all have our own story to tell and ladyboys certainly HAVE, with almost no exception, an extraordinarily interesting life-story and history ...many go through a lot, fewer are seemingly more blessed ...and it's inspiring to watch and listen ...and see most of them taking pride in who they are, without questioning it, rightly saying - we all are HUMANS, first and foremost. Nothing else matters. And so they smile and take on destiny - wonderful. And so, so differently, as we all do ...example, Mos - she's putting herself quite out there, obviously also had one of the most dangerous, difficult cosmetic procedures, surgeries too that one can have (smile, the behind ...) And so yes, they DO take really bigger risks than most of us have to, of course, to feel the most authentic. And sail through it all and continue to smile, hardly ever complaining. Awesome. Some more introvert, like recently your interview with the certainly not so outgoing Thai ladyboy, who's name is Foxy I believe. She was one rather seeming serious and deep about life, sitting in a hotel lobby with you and who worked in a clothing store now and did not like it too much :), as she had to stand most of the day, compared with her previous jobs in hospitality. She seems SO highly intelligent as well (to achieve SO much more in the future also, much more than remaining to be a sales woman in a fashion shop!) so I truly wished to hear, see a follow up once, with her ... I'll leave it here again, dear EB, with my kindest regards indeed from Germany. I love and miss Asia, having lived there, in China, later mostly Malaysia, for many, many years, two decades, work -and relationship related. But then, the C-thing came, argh, and now other responsibilities here unfortunately keep me from going now again - specifically, back to beautiful Borneo and Brunei ...Sarawak and Sabah are more than just worth visiting; the most beautiful climate, landscapes, people (!), atmosphere ...! I love and connect to most of all to the people - the MOST friendly, cosmopolitan (!) bunch I've encountered in SEA, which is surprising at first, yes ...the mixture of former 'headhunter' tribes, like the Iban in Sarawak, with Europeans and Chinese is unique and very different from also Westmalaysia ! Which I love. And as a side note, not to forget the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen anywhere on this world, 'Borneo skies' ...also allover Asia, incomparable to me ...it's a daily highlight there every late afternoon, to feel like you're cuddled up in ancient mother earth's lap, being serenely wrapped in heavenly colors ... Kuching, Miri, Kota Kinabalu (just look up Sabahan girls, lol, in her original costumes as well, dancing, SO beautiful!) - I myself btw have NOT been such a happy fellow during my visits to the Philippines either, just like you, for many reasons BUT the people, it's just not for me, talking pollution, the uneasiness in feeling TRULY absolutely safe, compared to being anywhere in Malaysia ...so perhaps you might want to consider visting northern Borneo, best with your gf and then go to a Shangri-La resort there, in Sabah :), as it is all an enviably convenient quick trip by plane from where you are ! WITH good food, lol ... for me, its like home, of the heart ...especially FOR the wonderful people there ! Have a safe and pleasant new week anhead, thank you for making it hopefully through my short novel, if you read until here :) ...Kindly, T

Thats the best interview I've seen in a long time. I'm a straight guy and dont have much experience knowing trans people. I liked this interview because Sala (name?) was so honest and real about her answers. The very few trans women I've seen before came across as garish and (it seemed to me) trying to be more feminine than sis women and hypersexual. But today, watching this interview changed my perspective in a positive way. This helped me grow and I'd like to say thank you for that. I hope all the best for her in wherever life takes her.

Its a interesting fact that Philippines ladyboys are generally more mature teenagers and early twenties then all others in south east Asia. But the lack of vegetables in their country and too much fried food makes them look old very quick too.
