The center is a pentagon - 5 sides. A hexagon has 6 sides! The side of a hexie measures half the point to point through the center - 1” side is 2” from point to point! And so on! I’ve been working on a 3/4” hexie project for years😁😁😁. And thanks for the hint about the 80wt - it’s more difficult to find where I live but I do have a shop about 50 miles away that does have it.

Dawn and Peter another fun informative video. I watch for y’all to release a new video. Love you two. Peter do not change the red thread it adds so much to the piece. I will be adding that touch to my pieces. Have a blessed day everyone!

Dawn…fabulous tutorial. Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to attach the diamond shape to the hexagons please!?!

Dawn…can you please give me the name of the magnifying light you used in this video. It’s just what I’ve been looking for after a recent diagnosis of macular degeneration. I’m not ready to give my sewing up yet. Does your store carry this light? Do you ship? I’m in NY state…all the way north on the Canadian border. thank You in advance for your reply.

Thank you for your tutorial. The sew-tight magnets are a game changer- no more death grip needed by my poor hands! Plus the tip on using the magnifying lamp. And using a milliner’s needle; the needle entering the fabric at 90 degrees; and permission to make my stitches a bit further apart! Wonderful practical advice!
