We have fridge magnets for everything, trips souvenirs, phone number of pizza places, phone number of gas canister, even children birthday Party Favors. 7. The plastic bag holder is because we reuse the grocery plastic bag for a few different thing like to pick up dog's poop, to put in the trash bin or even to make arts and crafts. 8. The orange mirro is famous because it is a mirror that we use in the shower (yes in the shower) and he has a semi hidrophobic glass so it didn't steamed or got super wet and you could see yourself clearly.

About the beans, you looked confused. Here in Brazil it is common to freeze beans in packages that we take from other foods, such as ice cream. As beans are something that takes a long time to cook because they are too hard, we make a whole package and freeze it so that when we want it (be it lunch or dinner) it is much easier to take it out and cook it again, this second time we season. So usually in the Brazilian's freezer there are beans frozen in ice cream packaging, so we reuse the packaging.

So, some explanations: 1. Usually people makes a lot of beans, cause it takes about 1h - 1h30 to cook. So it's normal do cook and then storage some of it, and the Ice creams container are just perfect size. 2. Duralex was an old brand of glass plates announced to be unbreakable. As you saw they are really strong, this is why it is still a common thing in Brazilians homes. It's a pity they are not produced anymore. 3. Crochet covers are really common in suburban houses, mainly to protect the home appliances and furniture (they are very expensive and need to last for a long time), but also to hide itens that are old/ugly. 4. It's actually really hard to find a dishcloth that are not religious or incredible corny/ugly. 5. Its not recommended to drink water directly from the faucet, this is why every brazilian house have a water filter. And the clay water filter is the oldest one and still one of the most reliable. 6. Aluminum cups are really common and they usually have a soccer team logo in them. Aluminum stuff in Brazil are common and cheap because Brazil is one of the biggest producers of Aluminum. 7. Fridge magnets are incredible common, the main ones are: the pizza/drugstore/gas delivery number; the travelling souvenirs (that somebody gifted to you); and souvenirs from children birthday parties (usually you hate it but need to put then on the fridge or the mother of the child will be mad at you). 8. You will get used to the toilet bin very quickly after you clog a toilet for the first time (not a pleasant thing). 9. Coffee made in a cloth coffee strainer tates soooooooooooooooooooo much better. 10. Everybody reuses plastic bags from the market to use in the trash bin, so you need a place to storage then. Why not be corny? 11. The orange mirror is the cheapest mirror you can buy, this is why it is common in suburban houses and some cheap barbershops.

We freeze beans because we usually cook it on a pressure cooker for just re-heat it along the week, since here in Brazil it's very very very very common we eat rice and beans for the lunch everyday, so because even on pressure cooking beans take so long to cook and uses a lot more of gas(that here in Brazil it's distributed on tanks), we usually make a lot for saving time and gas.

If I am not mistaken, those plates are made from a tempered glass. They are very sturdy, and resistant to damage (They'll break if too much force is applied, tho, as any glass made object would)
