I want you to know how much your videos have impacted me, especially lately. I am also forever a child at heart. I just turned 43 yesterday, and I have been reclaiming my childhood over the last few years. I have started to take up some of your practices when I go into the forest, and it has enriched my experience so much. I was already, a total sucker for the forest, since childhood, but I get so much more out of my experience with your influence.

The box of invisible mounts might have plasters in it but the actual invisible mounts would be stick transparent corners that you would use to mount your photographs in your album . Originally they were white or black card but kater on they were transparent plastic and therefore "invisible"

Hi Alwyn- I thought you might be interested to know that the "little batteries" that once belonged to your grandfather are actually glass electrical fuses. The little glass tube contains a small wire that is designed to melt if too high a voltage flows through. Once the wire has melted, there is a gap in the circuit and the device can't operate. It's a safety feature to stop the device being damaged, or blowing up! Thank you so much for sharing this video and for the tour of your very special altar.
@AlwynOak Жыл бұрын
oh thankyou so much that's so interesting! There were sooooooo many inside the altar! he must have loved them lol!

@@AlwynOak I always loved those little glass fuses 😌 they are ADORABLE.🥰 my dad does electrical stuff as well, fixing and making things, and I remember so many of his parts all around the house. Not really because he loved them, but because people who do things like this, do tend to hoard their craft's things 😂. Maybe it is different for people who are electricians, vs people who make and build stuff tho. The latter tend to be chaotic af and their environment tends to be an extension of them so..😅 As a kid, i remember stepping on and around many other things, that he used to put in circuit boards. Or knocking into parts and things, half finished machines and so on.. Good tiiiimes lol. Organization isn't his strong point 😂. His whole house, and several sheds and garages he has built, are full of his things that do indeed accumulate endlessly. Because..you never know when you'll need them !! 🤭🙃 I am sure if I go visit him now, his place will indeed look the same as it did when I was a kid, it's just in a different location 🫠

"Being an adult is an act." I love the way you worded that. I felt judged by reliving my childhood and doing things such as collecting vintage toys, keeping a lot of things that represent my childhood. This video helped me realize that it's ok to relive moments you miss.

I found myself feeling … not myself today. I was stuck in my head, in the not so nice space of it. I went to my tiny enchanted woods, in my garden and asked for a gentle spirit to help me through it. Per usual you, Sweet Alwyn, answered that call. You always appear when we need you most. Thank you for this lovely video. You’ve lifted the Smokey veil and brought the sunshine back into my spirit. You gave us a whole hour of a safe space, exactly the amount of time I had to watch. Please know how loved you are, because it’s literally immeasurable. My little Oliver says hello to you and Crowley 😊 Tons of love and light to you and all of the beautiful Enchanted Ones 💖🕯

So beautiful! and those aren't batteries;they're fuses. They're used in cars to alert when things are not working. The fine filament breaks and the broken current results in a warning light on the car dashboard. Too fun to have those little bits from your grandpa right there.

Truly a war hero. Your video brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing your family history. Blessings from Canada.

Greetings Alwyn, I was given another desk which I put by my other gifted desk . Have just been cleansing them and finding all sorts of Treasures I had not looked at for awhile. One will have as Magical Herbal/Oracle desk and the Other is for Writing as it is smaller ...so Your video has been perfect inspiration . I LOVE Your Ancestor Tree and noticed You have an Ancestor called IVY and how You love to cover the Altar in IVY. My Grandmother was called IVY but She passed just before I was born so I did not know Her . I am 61 about to turn 62 and have not thought of Her in so long (long story) . I have gathered up all the old herbs from the desk another my large Bamboo shelf and will burn and release them all on the Winter Solstice as a way of releasing any old energies , have been doing a lot of Inner Child healing lately and feel that this is needed ..actually looking forward to it . Bright Blessings from New Zealand xx

My grandma has become a part of my altar as well, and I've started using her jewelry as protection. It has worked amazingly, she was a very headstrong, brave woman who had immigrated to the US from Calabria, and lost 3 husbands in her lifetime and still managed to make an amazing life for herself, so. This was really special to see for me, has given me some extra inspiration and has reminded me to always remember where I come from. ❤️ I also love the idea of honoring your little self, I'm currently battling inner child work, so I think I need to make my own small box of Sam trinkets and place it on my altar. Loved this video 😊

I love all the things you kept from your grandma and grandpa, my favorite piece is the beautiful desk that you made into an altar. However, I also do love your ancestor picture frame tree. I got a kick out of you collecting leaves from your travels (my favorite were the ones from Central Park because I am a New Yorker). In addition, when I travel I collect currency from all my travels for good luck. I have a Canadian dollar (with Queen Elizabeth 2nd on the currency)from my 1st trip to Montreal in the 80s, Barbadian coins from Barbados, a couple of coins from the Bahamas, Euros dollars from Italy, and Indonesian money from Bali, Indonesia. I live near Owls Head Park in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and I collect leaves and Pine Cones for the holidays. My daughter also found wood branches that resembled runes. I totally get it and love what you do on your channel, very magical. Thanks for this video!♥

Awesomeness :D ! Nature has always been soothing and peaceful to me. I have always loved being out in the woods and just breathe in the peace and quiet. :D. The forest is about plants, animals, and earth. The element earth which is very grounding and stabilizing. So yes I have always loved being out in nature :). I think everybody should learn about plants, both the medicinal and poisonous properties of them. Fresh plants and leaves are always the best for really good cooking, because it's clean and pure and their properties haven't dried out in plastic bottles and containers and bags, as herbs and spices. Being outside also helps people keep in touch with the changing of the seasons and the agricultural year, a very important understanding of the passing of time. As opposed to made up measure of time from the calender.

I use tarot as oracle cards as well, and for visualization. I also like to use them to make up stories, and the Forest of Enchantment deck is my absolute favorite for that!

Dearest Alwyn. I am blessed to have just discovered your channel and instantly felt a familiar (in a family sense) type of connection with you and your spiritual journey. Your love of the forest and your ancestry resonates with me and I look forward to discovering more about you. I also felt compelled to reach out to you and clarify what you believe to be an insignificant 'deer' on your altar. On the contrary, it is actually an 'antelope' called an Orynx. 'They are powerful totems as they can help people overcome their problems and give them swiftness in both mind and action. It offers strength & protection. Blessings from your self-appointed Uncle Michael from Australia. :) aka as Uncle OZ & Grey Eagle

Absolutely beautiful, Alwyn! I couldn't give away any of those keys if I'd collected them, lol. Those little cylindrical glass tubes are electrical fuses.

Oh, those foxgloves! Thank you for sharing your altar, it's beautiful and I love your ancestors' tree - what a powerful piece that is, along with your grandfather's altar! That knotted gold brooch you wear is an antique watch pin.

I adore this lovely little show and tell! I really enjoyed seeing all the little items and momentos, you collect things in the same way as me. I can pick up a random leaf on my shelf and tell you exactly where it's from and remember everything about the day I found it.

Love seeing your videos pop up. An important message for everyone to remember their inner child. I was on a beach walk with my parents and sister a few weeks ago (i'm 29yrs old) and was enjoying running on the beach and laughing. My family don't really understand my path, but they could clearly see how happy I was.
