Oh, I love Lord of the Rings. I watched the extended version of "Return of the King" last weekend. It's funny because you've always reminded me of Arwen, so now it makes sense 😊 What I also love to do this time of year is listen to Aurora. I feel like her music just goes so well with the winter season. Her cover of "Walking in the Air" is so beautiful and cosy and magical and so appropriate for this time of year. ☃️❄

This video resonates with me on such a deep level. I've always felt an emptiness in the winter, but also a sense of overwhelm. I feel like society speeds up after the holidays, and it's very hectic for my mental state and physical well-being. I think because the calendar year has ended, people think they need to get to work and reinvent themselves. But I find that starting off a new year in that way is exhausting. I need time to catch a breath from the previous year and the inevitable chaos of the holidays, as joyous as they are. And this video perfectly encapsulates the kind of winter traditions I want to create for myself.

Very cool to hear you recommend Wheel of Time! I loved the show and am halfway through the third book now. The Aes Sedai have to be one of the coolest creations in a fantasy series ever. The Children of the Light are such great villains also and the relationship between the two strikes me as reflecting the Christian persecution of Witches.

Alwyn! You are such a lovely creator, I have been watching your channel for a while now. We have the same exact same taste in films! Ella Enchanted has been one of my favorite films since I was a kid. The Extended Edition & special features of Lord of the Rings I have seen so many times and remain the pinnacle of fantasy (for me). I also adore faeries like you and I would like to think we could be friends. Thank you for teaching me so much!
