At 2:25 you switch it to mono. Can you still adjust the levels with the dial for each mic in that mode? Oh, thanks a bunch! You’re the only one that demonstrated and even mentioned that you can use two mics in stereo AND mono. That’s what I wanted to know but now whether I can still adjust the gain in that mode.

Interesting. I've been using the Saramonic SR-AX100 which has the same functionality but does not require batteries - although you'd then need to use a powered mic such as the videomic pro. I like the look of this to use with my videomicro,

SR doesn't have dedicated monitoring which is essential

Can you control the volume of the headphones? If not, how do the headphones sound when using this mixer?

Its more than 50 percent but I believe there are much smaller marginal gains by putting more money into sound. The videomicro and takstar are just as good as my videomicpro Glad you're adding to the diversity of your content tho.

Nice to be made aware of different alternatives that aren't insanely expensive. That's what I like about your channel (that and also you're from Central Florida, too). I noticed in your description you have listed the GH5. I guess from past videos, I thought you used the g85. How are you liking that? I want a new camera, torn between the G9 and the GH5 as I do like to take photos also like at the wildlife areas around here. But, I so very much want vlog, 180 slo mo and all that other good stuff in the GH5. Good vid! (P.S. I went back and saw your GH5 stuff, haven't been subbed but a couple of months or so and had missed it somehow)

I actually just purchased my own gh5. When ive used it before i rented it. Been wanting one ever dinve. The g85 has been my daily driver and super reliable.

As for the choice between the gh5 and g9 it depends on wether you're more of a filmmaker or hybrid shooter/photographer. The g9 will be way better for wildlife shooting, has better stabilization, faster autofocus, can do more than 180fps slowmo and has some killer photo features. The gh5 has unlimited recording time, V Log, and abunch of other video features the G9 doesn't.

So I have a gh5 and g85 I’m looking for a third camera. Is the G7 a good third camera? I don’t need great audio as it would just be for reference so I could sync multicam. I,assume the color would match.
@AlexMinor6 жыл бұрын
The g7 definitely matches. There is a slight color difference between the g7 and g85, but i dont think anyone would notice unless they were looking for it.

Good to know. I’m used to color grading these days, so it should be easily fixable. There seems too be a ton of Used G7s out there. Most of those folks want to upgrade to G85 or gh5 so, you can usually get a good deal. A second G85 would be better of course. I love the scare that Tony did with the m43 death. Nobody was complaining a year ago. It’s funny you can’t beat the price performance of a m43rd camera right now.

Yeah. I just bought a used gh5 with a cage for $1250

I have the g85 and g7, I couldn't recover blacks as well in grading photo and video on g7. I hear video is supposed to be slightly sharper on g85, but I really cannot tell. The preamp in both seem to be the same, the xt2 had much cleaner sound using a videomicro
@scottburrow82936 жыл бұрын
When you say xt2 are you referring to a Fuji? My only problem there is all my lenses are m43rds.
