Becauseeeeeee 1, Chat was not trained to be a guardian like Marinette or Alya and he acted very recklessly. 2, Alya knows most of the identities of the holders and has helped Marinette a lot: helping Marinette gain confidence to become Ladybug, helping Ladybug discover the ability of Creation, etc. 3, Every time Chat learns about Ladybug's true identity, the whole world will face a great disaster.

Alya isn't trained either she's literally known Mari is labybug for like what 3 months? Meanwhile CN has more experience than Alya. LB could literally trained CN to be a guardian like how fu trained her Also CN always helped LB when she's down ensuring that she's the best at what she does, helped her when she's first got her miraculous and she felt down again, sacrifice himself for not only her but for the entire Paris. CN has helped LB many times more than Alya but because Alya found a new "power up" that gave her a reason to become dept guardian but the person thats been fighting with LB since day one shouldn't because he makes mistakes just like everybody in this show? And don't talk about reckless when Alya can't even follow basic rules and always disobeying LB. LB told her not to fight akumatize villains if she's not there and what did Alya do? Fought an Akumatize villain while LB wasn't there lol😂

She loves Cat Noir, but I think she picked Alya because for the Guardian, Alya is like a multitasker and a tactician, Cat Noir might be a little too unserious to her, and I think she'd rather have Cat Noir being active instead of delegating and scheduling, not to mention he might not be in a good headspace once Ladybug loses her memories and goes inactive, it'd be like losing his best friend. She doesn't know he's Adrien but it would also be an issue with him being a Sentimonster, so if he were ever to lose his ring to the villain they'd have full control of the Guardian of the Miraculous. I think Alya is the best choice, if not her then Luka, both proved they can compartmentalize, like in that one episode where Alya is attacked in her home she comes up with a complex creative plan to escape the situation, Luka was also able to foil a pretty significant ploy to get him to give up the identities, he's also trained at the Miraculous temple which nobody else seems to have, like, Ladybug should visit that place once, touch base with the monks, train with them even.

See that’s a good explanation! but they don’t use it in the show… I’d be fine with it if Marinette was like debating between Alya and Chat Noir then chose Alya, but she never even CONSIDERED HIM and he’s never spoken about between them, even in their investigations 😭 The writers always leave him out with NO explanation, then the fandom just fills it in for them 😔🙏
