I was dying to know what he said to her when they shook hands. Aww I'm so happy he acknowledged that to her and she got to hear it from him. I admire her too. It is brave what she did. It's not easy to do what she did and Alyssa whether you agree on her politics or not is a woman of integrity. I wish I knew her personally cause there are not many people like her. I think Alyssa is a gem! I'm not a Republican, but she conveys her point of view clearly and succinctly. Her demeanor is non-defensive, professional, and classy (she comes to the table well-informed and offers useful suggestions). I'm so glad The View didn't change its lineup this season. I remember Alyssa and her friend, the blonde hair girl I don’t remember her name talking about right after the insurrection and I was so proud of her for speaking out. But I knew she was gonna turn as soon as everything calm down, but she did not, and as a mom and a grandmother. I am so proud of her as her family should be. I appreciate Alyssa so much. I’m always shocked the other women don’t ASK her more about her time with Pence or Trump or in politics in general. Or about her experience with other conservatives. That there isn’t more curiosity from the ladies. She has by far the most unique and high-level political and strategic political experience. In a time when we need to understand Trump voters and to build bridges, Alyssa and Sara do it the most. Are best listeners, most curious and approach each topic pragmatically. And offer unique insights. It’s very appreciated and I look up to Alyssa. How to stay calm and graceful when people are interrupting or talking over you. Or dismissing you (or were hostile like Sunny was for quite a while).

@@robert7567 there was actually a lot of hostility that came with those questions. It’s not the same. She has a strong point of view in all the current issues and she knows so many of the people involved. So they could ask for her thoughts sometimes. She does that to the other experts (Sunny, law; Whoopi, the arts; Joy, comedian). It shouldn’t be a one-time thing. Again, politics is the biggest topic right now and she’s very very smart and strategic. And she knows the voters Dems need. So it’s very annoying that people are okay with her getting constantly interrupted or spoken over with the same old same old when this is her area of expertise. And her strategic thinking (not the same old emotions and outrage) is badly needed.

While I enjoy Alyssa - sometimes - I still give her the side eye for working in an administration she knew was racist and misogynistic from the beginning and one that pedaled in bold face lies. I don’t understand why and how she and others did it. And I’m not giving any of them who decided to part with the administration after Jan 6. They don’t get brownie points for what is basic civics. It’s very hard to square their “this is the line for me!” when to many of us, the line had been crossed millions of times.

What struck me was that Biden's color was so good and that he looked so much better rested on The View. He had been pushing himself to handle a schedule that would have been difficult for a much younger person with meetings in India and the Middle East. No matter how fancy your plane is, your body is still going to react to the change in time zones. Biden has really taken his role as one of the important role models of the free world very seriously. Americans have been blessed to have him and Harris there to put things back together again. Fortunately or unfortunately, these remaining trumpsters will never know just how badly djt left the country when he was forced out of office and out of the White House.
