Pregnancy is a journey! The good, the bad. Cherish it all. Once baby is born, it goes so fast and nobody prepares you for that. I’ve got a 2 year old and 9 month old and it’s unbelievable how fast my babies are growing. It’s exciting and so fun to witness, but I also want to cry and slow down time. This baby is going to be so lucky to have such loving parents! You can tell how much you guys already love it! Really talk though-I would start to mentally prepare for your postpartum journey as well. Do your research. What your body will go through. How to nurture your healing, your body, your mind. And tag team/support each other to get rest between taking care of baby and yourselves. Best of luck! And can’t wait to witness the rest of this chapter before the next!

Helpful tips: Potassium for the Charlie horses. Heating pads for tummy and back because it’s your first pregnancy your insides are being stretched (causes cramps & pain) every time the baby grows (even before they start kicking). You guys are doing great! I’m so happy for you both! You will be great parents.

Mom of 4 here💕 It’s round ligament pain! Baby is GROWING!!🥰 Get a pregnancy pillow and lots of water! Laying on your back can make the pain hurt more especially on your lower back! Always lay on your side. Sometimes lying elevated can help too. It also helps if you start getting heart burns! When you feel your stomach harden for a few seconds they’re called Braxton hicks/contractions. Dehydration can also cause Braxton hicks to happen😭 Real labor pain is if you can’t breathe through contractions and lasts more than 10-15 seconds. Love to see your journey mama💕

Is he still working with you guys? Anyways, love you guys and praying for a smooth last couple months! Towards the end of the, you get super uncomfortable because your belly is stretched to its max. Your uterus is stretching and with this being your first pregnancy every little thing is gonna hurt but that doesn't mean anything is wrong. It just means the baby is growing and your body is getting you ready for when you do deliver. So just take it easy and drink plenty of water and laying on your left side is best. You got this girl.

If she’s in that much pain and she’s having pain in her back. It’s going to be one of two things either. She is having some type of labor pain or she could have a kidney infection. Either way she needs to go to the hospital or call the doctor. I had a similar experience with my little girl and I was 23 weeks pregnant. I end up having a placental abruption with blood clots, and I had ruptured membranes. Not saying that’s your case by any means, but I wanted to expressed the seriousness of having pains like that. So please please either take her to the hospital to the doctor. At least call the on-call and see what they say. But don’t let her sit in pain too long is it her cervix can change if it’s a labor. You guys definitely don’t wanna be in labor this early. My prayers go out to you and Alyssa and baby. And I hope that she feels better.

Charles, what she needs is potassium or calcium when she gets a cramp or Charlie horse, not water... although water does help hydrate her if she's dehydrated. Also, If Alyssa is feeling that bad at any point during her pregnancy, she should call her doctor right away! By the way, I'm just trying to be helpful. I'm not trying to be mean. (Also, I've had five pregnancies and four live births.) Here's what the internet says... "If you experience a cramp or "charley horse" while pregnant, your body is most likely signaling that you have a potential mineral deficiency, particularly in calcium, magnesium, or potassium, which are crucial for muscle function, and this is often exacerbated by the increased pressure on your leg muscles due to your growing baby and hormonal changes during pregnancy; essentially, your body is telling you to focus on getting enough of these essential minerals through diet or supplements." I hope you feel better soon, Alyssa. And please inform your doctor of anything that goes on during your pregnancy so they're up to date on if it's just growing (your uterus) pains, Braxton hicks (might be too early for that), or something NOT ok. I hope you have a safe and healthy pregnancy and baby. Love y'all ❤❤❤❤ Much Love Always, Kristen B💕💕💕💕 P.S. The best you can do when you have a cramp or Charlie horse is stand up with your foot flat on the ground straight and it'll eventually go away within seconds to a couple minutes. Those are HORRIBLE during pregnancy. (((HUGS)))

@Stacey_M13 минут бұрын
I had the same with my pregnancy because I was so petite. I was only 4’11 & 95 pounds so your body has to adjust to a growing baby and prepare you for the labor ahead. Things are shifting and will be cramping. Definitely DO NOT lay on your back! It’ll make it worse. Lay on your side. And the Charlie horses are the worstttt while pregnant! It got to the point that I knew when it was coming and would point my toes/feet pointing up to lessen the pain. I would suggest to always call your OBGYN with any questions or concerns. Don’t be afraid to call with any concerns, even for just a peace of mind.
