I have never had a brick fireplace that I did not paint. It makes such a difference especially with a "noisy"brick. It looks great Alyssa.

@@olearyfam4 One of our sons is ambidextrous. He is a building contractor and musician, and I think this is his greatest asset in both cases. It is fascinating/hilarious to watch him work.

Just something to consider.....the close up shots are great but maybe do a few more panning-out shots so that we can really see how it looks in the entire room. Hey and don't apologize for being a young mother who has a young child because we all know it's exhausting work getting anything done with a child that age and taking care of everything else needing to be done too and on top of that trying to film and edit your home improvement project. It's the hardest job around!!! Hope you get a break soon from it all! Ps - the fire place looks really good, the black paint was the way to go.

Did you use paintable silicone? That could be the problem if you didn't.

It looks really good. And I'm not a fan of the gray and black decor that is so popular right now. Your painting is very high-quality, especially your special lines. It is refreshing to have you working on a project and showing the interruptions that life brings. Good luck to Henry with getting his teeth.
