NEW PET ROOM SET-UP & TOUR🐰🐾🐽

What a gorgeous setup! I love all the space and it really is a dream room for all the rescue animals ☺️ I’ve seen you mention the comments relating to biohazards keeping them both in the same room, I keep mine in the same room to so not to worry 😂 Get similar comments. The thing is, most rabbit people also have guinea pigs because they’re so similar in care that if you have an interest in one, it makes sense you’d love the other too. People that keep both in separate rooms usually do not get the same kind of comments of concern but I’m not sure why. You’d have to have totally separate equipment, change your clothes, shower, and disinfect yourself, between walking to each pets room, which I know for sure most, if not all, households do not do. So without that biosecurity in place, separate rooms or together in one, there’s cross contamination. You can also say the same for dogs and cats in the same household or cats and a hamster, any animal that has access to another is at risk. But again, no one mentions this because it’s common to have both. I just think it’s a funny thing people get concerned for when if you think it though, it isn’t particularly required 😁

Hi Jade, respectfully, this is wrong. I have both bunnies and piggies. As I’ve heard from our personal vet and the emergency vet I had to take my sweet piggie to that passed away, it is not safe to keep piggies and bunnies in the same space. Whether the are on tables or not. It is true that they have similar maintenance and care. But, bunnies do carry harmful can travel to the respiratory tract of guinea pigs and they can get very sick (this is what happened to my girl). They are in two story kavee cages, lifted from the ground, and no physical interaction with my rabbits and it still happened to one of my piggies that got bad pneumonia. The veterinarian hit the nail on the head when she asked if I had a rabbit at home. And you do need to clean yourself (hands) after you’ve interacted between each species. These comments come from people who have either gone through this first hand, or know that rabbits and guinea pigs should not have any interaction or shared living space. It’s not to be malicious, lord knows there’s enough judgement on Pet tube and pet gram. It’s all love. And we just want safe and healthy pets ❤️ even having bunny urine and feces presented in the same room as piggies is harmful.

Yayyy, I’m sure zero loves having more space. I would recommend getting another rug. That would help the eco and let zero have more gripe so it is easier to run around. Love the room!

When I had my rabbit we also had all wood floors. We ended up lining his whole room with foam mats to keep him from getting sore hocks. Zero will have a blast in that big room. ☺️

HI Alyssa. Your pet room looks great. I just wanted to mention that hard floors are not great for rabbit feet. They can get painful sores on the bottom so you may want to buy more rugs or something to protect Zero's feet. I know you are a wonderful pet owner I am just trying to help

Your new house and pet room look amazing!!! Cloth curtains will help with the echo. Anything cloth. Just cloth curtains that come down as far as the top of your guinea pig cage will help

Hey Alssya nice vids realy nice pet care but i think you should think about having a headhog there setup is almoost to gunea pig but then they do not chew or need hay or have water bottles they eat cat food but then you have many pets just a suggestion but then they need wheels the need a water dish

Hi Alyssa!! I just wanted to say I loved this video and I’ve been looking forward to it for a while! Your new house is so amazing ! This is kind of a random question but I know you use a vacuum for your piggies, I was gifted one for Christmas and my piggies are so terrified of the sound, do they ever get used to it? I have 7 piggies and they can be pretty messy overnight so I sweep their cages in the mornings and I plan on using the vacuum to pick up poos throughout the day but they are absolutely terrified and it makes me worry since I don’t want to stress them out too much

If you need help with the pigs food bowls tipping over we got a food bowl that connects to the c @ c that was a life saver for my pigs.

Hey maybe the litter boxes I think you should try to make small holes on the walls of the litter box, and add hooks to them so you can attach them to the walls of your cage or even some sort of rope or zip ties so they can’t exactly move the litter around or at least as much.

I know putting outlet covers on my outlets I didnt use helped to keep them from getting disgusting when my bun wasnt neutered and he sprayed one one time! Just a thought!
