Ive heard of a strat for the Tibetan Hordes where you start as someone in Indochina who can quickly form Siam (like Lan Xang), then form Siam and get Siamese ideas, then push into the Tibet area and culture swap to Tibetan to form Tibet but keep Siam's ideas, then trigger the event to become a horde. Congrats, youre now a horde with +1 Cavalry Fire

I like how the Koxinga event occurs historically during the Ming-Qing Transition but Qing never forms in EU4 so the only way you can see the event happen is if you yourself trigger it

Sale, the nation, actually has the potential to be the most broken Pirate Republic in terms of Republican Tradition. It has the Barbary Corsair idea set which gives .5 RT. Being Muslim, Sale can invite an Ismaili scholar (with great difficulty, as you likely start as Sunni) for another .5 RT. This will offset the natural decay that Pirate Republics get. This allows you quite a bit of freedom in both re-elections and what pirate faction you want to keep in Power.

So as Ternate i started to colonise Taiwan. Just as my 1st province was done the Koxinga- event fired and the other 2 provinces where now occupied. Then Tungning declared war against me (idk if they fabricated a claim or had a claim all along) and took my moluccan- cultured province. Certified bruh moment.

I've seen both Tungning (at least 3 or 4 times) and Koshuund (without me piloting to force-triggering the events that spawn them). Tungning appears not so rarely, it need only Ming to blow up with the right timing... usualy the hardest part for them is to survive to Japan, Qing, colonizers and other coastal states that appears from the dissolution of Ming.... so they usualy don't last very much. Only time they survived in a game, i was playing Tibet and allied them, other times they were retaken by Ming or some other Chinese state, or eaten by Japan

The Taiwanese nation isn't that hard to get, you'll see it every time you're dismantling Ming. The only other one I've seen is Kalmyk. I was playing something in Central or Western Europe and I took a look at Eastern Europe out of curiosity and there it was.

You don't need to play as Morocco to get Salé. I was playing as Tunis once and after conquering Morocco, I got the event to get Salé as a march by accident.

Once as the Theocratic Crusader Empire of Semien, once as the Revolutionary Plutocratic Republic of the Ainu (who owned the entire New World), and once as a custom nation in the Anbennar mod. In many ways it can get pretty damn boring, but it can also be fun in other ways.

I was playing a game as a pirate kono, planning on creating a pirate japan and I had been raiding ming for a while, ofcourse the mingsplosion happened and they died, I was colonising Taiwan when tunging spawned, I just thought this was a common thing that happened if you tried to colonise Taiwan, thanks for enlightening me.
