There may not be enough to talk about to form a video, but how about a top 10 of the various daimyo available in Japan at the start date? Maybe the best opening strategies they have, or what their various long term strategies may be if you choose not to form Japan for its ideas? I'm pretty new to the game but it seems like some of the daimyo have better military ideas, some have good trade ideas, and one or two seemed to have exploration ideas. Could sprinkle in bonus daimyo that are formable but don't exist at 1444 as honorable mentions.

There's one nation I personally think you should've put in there. The Jalayirids are a Rebel Tag that will only spawn from seperatist rebels in a Mongol Cultured, Tengrii Baghdad. They're a hold over from EU3 where they would spawn much more often due to the fact the Mongol Ilkhanate ruled over Baghdad at the beginning of the game. I've seen screenshots before of non-ironman games spawning it, but they're from years ago. Idk if they're still in the game. Quite the unicorn nonetheless.

As a Vicky 2 HoD beta tester, the origins of Jan Mayen and the "bug" were less about it being a bug and more about Wiz wondering why 40k people were living on an island and it wasn't a separate nation. Thus, Jan Mayen and polar bears were created. It wasn't until a little later that we realized that nobody was assimilating. 15 bears (at most) was not enough to play a game except as a passive observer, so the Polar Bear Purchase was made, allowing us to spread the glorious bear pops as a Great Power.

I feel like pointing out that the "high american" tech group is actually absurdly powerful, as you mad it sound like they are pretty trash when talking about atlantis - if for all the wrong reasons: that being unit pips. High American techgroup nations are more or less guaranteed to also have the "High American" unit groups that you had (ISP somehow managed to get a norse HA nation without those, but oh well), which are some of the strongest in the early game, as they consistently have more than double the pips of anything comparable. Only nomadic cavalry can come close (though still lacking) to it in terms of raw power, meaning that you can steamroll enemies with your unit pips alone. There is a reason these units are usually not obtained other than having fantasy nations enabled or setting them in a nation creator, as they are a remnant of the Atzec Invasion CK2 event and should not be accessed by players at random due to their power spike. Hell, it's one of the reasons Arumbas "Idea's Guy" worked out the way it did.

The synthetics? They are awesome! Unfortunately I don't think you can get them without console commands though - Jan Mayen, although really really rare, can spawn naturally in RNW

@@AlzaboHD There is (or was?) an exploit which could be used to copy nations from savegames into an 1444 ironman start. It works with the synths, but you won't gain their instant coring modifier. And iirc pdx fixed that exploit anyway.

heyas! I got a bit of detail for ya! Tripolandia is not a MLP refrence, it's actually from guliver's travels. The ruler name being a CK2 in joke. It's also why they have english culture.

With the nations that require being converted from CK2, the map looks like the standard 1444 map. Is there some way to spawn them in with commands or through some other backdoor method, or am I just looking at the map wrong?

Youre looking at the map right. To speed up the recording of the video I used this mod : steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=808088377 and console commands to spawn their cores. Without the mod it appears their tags dont appear in the latest patcg

you could cheat your map in ck2 like you want it. pick a late start date and just compare the 1444 map with your results ingame. i think i will create a savegame with all the nations to spawn, just for being prepared if i want to play them someday.

St. Josephs is a mystical kingdom like Atlantis. People in the middle ages believed in this nation which should be located in a dessert in Asia or Africa. They believed it is very rich and Christian. People like Marco Polo claimed to been there. Which probally were just lies. But it could have been remains of the Greeks in central Asia regarding earlier journeys or even the Ethopians.

Hey all, i am interested in playing the Jomsviking as they sure seem fun, but I haven't really played CK, is there a place where I could find maybe a converted save file, or mod or similar? or if someone would be kind enough to provide? also, the fact that they have the Deus vult CB integrated, means that they can't really be created as a custom nation, right? I am not aware of any government type that allows that. Thanks!

I played hashashin once and its super hard to play with them locked up between two superpowers. The only way i could survive and form persia was to play both against each other what was super funny. Templars and Israel looks like similar situation but with better ideas and religion for going on crusades.
