ALZRC Devil 450 3GX & Head Setup

WOW setting up pitch seems to be a real b*tch on this head :D I remember spending hours upon hours setting mine, and STILL I had to get some help to do it correctly. Pain in the butt.

Oh I see. I have another question for you. I mentioned the play in the tail setup earlier. I had a flight this morning, messed around with the gyro, but no matter what setting the tail was wagging 3-4 inches in both ways. Flyable, but not safe or comfortable. The question: Where would you recommend I get an Align tail setup ( shaft driven version ) and will it be 100% compatible with the ALZRC tail ? Thanks in advance P

Well I'm running a budget setup so no 100$ gyros and servos for me. I'm using a KDS e-bar V2 for the FBL, and a Rotorstar servo ( hobbyking.com/en_us/rotorstartm-rs-3878mgt-digital-helicopter-ds-mg-servo-6-8kg-0-12sec-26g.html ) Will try to post to forum but my feeling is that no one will notice/reply :/

Good morning Tony. I donot fly my sport helis w/ autopilot. But the question about the helicomand w/ Bavarian demon autopiolt is for my T-rex 800 . It has 6 lipos for extended flight times as a UAV. Flying it far beyond the line of sight. Flying 3-D helis it is all me , fly or die! Got some help setting up my Blade 500 3-D from local shop. Blade tracking on one blade was slightly pos. pitch. At 2000 rpm on the groung it jumped up and almost got me indoors! So my local help at Hobbytown, is not helpful! Pitch is everything. LOL. Great show last night, Thanks again.The rescue heli is grounded due to high winds again today. Thank goodness your shows are on u tube. Don't work too hard today.

They sell spektrum radios and gear, but do not know how to program a radio. They have an indoor fling space for quads. I have done demo flights w/ the 600 in there. U are right, it can be dangerous. Show us your favorite helis sometime. I hope to send the giant gimbal to u for set-up next week. I met a Bell jet ranger pilot who had the same gimbal mounted on the belly of his full scale bell long ranger. hope u get some good weather to fly in! It is snowing w/ high winds today! LOL.

lived in OKC summer 1981, drove through a twister at night. Lots of flooding . Stay safe.
