AM DX SW 6155 KHz BBC Radio Service in English From Malta. It was caught on 27/05/2020 at around 21:20 PM (UTC+2). A blast from the past as this catch was recorded more than 4 years ago. The transmission is very clear whilst the car is stationed inside the garage. According to Short Wave Info, there is no more scheduled broadcasts of this type. It used to be broadcasting on this frequency from Sao Tome e Principe’s Pinheira Transmitter that housed 100 kW in transmission power that is approximately 4,040 kilometres away. 73 😊

Sweet that you can pick up the BBC world service on shortwave radio on your car radio. Once again, it’s not very often that I see a car radio that can play the 49 meter band. 73 and a great day to you.

Thank you my dear friend for the nice comment :) I like this model as it features the only 49 Meter Band SW which it is a rare feature that nowadays cars not even with MW they are coming out, but only FM and DAB+. Hope you are doing well buddy and take care 73!

@@ParamDxer here in North America DAB broadcasts don’t exist. We have an in band on channel system called HD Radio that can work for MW or FM. Most of our MW HD signals have been shut down though.

@@RJDA.Dakota In India, there is an alternative for DAB, named DRM which is Digital as well and being used for MW. It has a great take up but only limited to around Asian countries for now. Pity that MW HD is also being shut down. 73!
