AM Electric Trains on Auckland's Eastern Line ~ 30/01/2024 (HD)

It's been at least two months since I last when railfanning in New Zealand's largest city, but I finally had the chance to go there again at the end of January 2024.
This video mostly features the CAF-built electric multiple units on the Britomart to Manukau service (a.k.a. the Eastern Line), as well as DBR 1282 on the Goldfields Railway and three KiwiRail trains going south through Buckland.

I've got a video of the upgraded Level Crossing at Buckland coming out soon, I'm glad that KiwiRail sorted out the ring rate on those E-Bells there.

Oh wow! The trains down there are definitely a little different to what we have here in the UK! The sound of these trains definitely remind me of the Class 331's by Northern up here! I definitely want to get down to New Zealand one day and explore what there is down there! Great video!

Funnily enough, I also thought that the 331s looked and sounded very similar to the AMs. And those DMUs in Northern Ireland (especially the 400 class) look an awful lot like the AMs as well.

The Armadale/Thornlie rail line in Perth has been shut since november 20 and will remain closed until mid 2025 as they are rebuilding the inner part of the line as a sky rail
