You are exactly right. They could be tupped for the first time on the 2nd cycle. We had colour on from the start and some ewes were tipped for the first time on 2nd cycle. It's oliver that doesn't get it. Great what farmers are doing in England standing up for themselves.

You are 100% correct, every thing you say is correct , let's face it ,a ewe could have been cycling two days before the tup went in and thus will only cycle again 14 to 17 days later and if you change raddle colour on day 14 from tup introduction it can be seen as if the ewe has repeated. The thing is raddle colours are only a rough guide as ewes can lamb 3 to 4 days before time or 3 to 4 days over time and to be honest if you have single tup batches ,raddle colour is a better way to identify ram fertility issues that as an exact ewe lambing date.good stuff Sam and you are far from thick.

The feeders you put the silage in for the sheep have you used that type of feeder before here in Ireland when they first were made people using them nicknamed them the ewe chocker because the bars were to wide apart and ewes could put their head up between if the bale of silage bridged and then came down when they had their head in eating they could get chocked on the bars. I think they make them now with the bars closer together so that sheep can't get their head up between them.

There's lots of possible reasons that sheep may not have come into season during that first spell with the tups having no rud on. So you're right, but there will also be some as Oliver has said. The fodder beet is a decent price. I know some selling it at £40 per ton but then delivery on top.

the red and blues might have come into heat when the tup had red on but not completed that heat cycle when the raddle is changed to blue - that is why the ewes have red and blue - that is my take from it - but you are also correct that they ewe could have broken (we call it slipped in NZ) between one cycle and the next giving them a red/blue bum

2.5k to go the new leggings from other day are they the ones Charlotte was stripping down in her living room to model, the problem with the sheep is its womens problems and us blokes struggle to explain we just do the necessary as and when required, females on cycles rule the world, great video , you need 100 new subbers a day come on.

jesus says subscribe😂😂.......how right that lad is. funny how jim suddenly looked happier when he was in the tractor cab. does it really matter about the raddle colours??......i know you do it so you get a rough idea of when there going to lamb but i reckon you've seen enough pregnant ewes to know roughly just by looking at them when there going to lamb. maybe it's easier to tell when a cow is getting close to calving but it happens when it's ready to happen

Sam he will be fine you know your kids better then anyone, so how people can there say is beyond me! They need to keep there nose out of other people business that doesn't concern them and look after there own children! Your a great mum, If it was broken sam I'm sure you would know this better then anyone sam your with him day in day out, we see him for how long on a video? Plus if he has broke it he wouldn't be moving it full stop and would be in a hell of a lot of pain and crying all the time! Just another thing if It was broke he would be letting you put him in a coat or clothes that's for sure, it would be a hole different story if we was watching and he was crying and complainting all the time, but he's not he look fine to me please sam don't let others get to you, they say thing's to put you down and make you feel sh*t because there either unhappy in there own lives or jealous and bitter! Anyway I never have a problem with the sound or audio because I watch it on my TV and it's the same if I watch it on my phone. Another great vlog ❤ sam don't be so hard on yourself! You did great it's not as easy as you make it look. I bet them tups are solid and way a fare bit, it's I good job you had your waterproofs on though sam or you would of been going home cold we and full of mud! ❤ I get where you coming from sam because he put the rud on early and some sheep might not of been ready on the first cycle till maybe the day he put the red on them or maybe 2 or 3 days, due to him putting it on at 14days and not waited till the 17th day! So yes they would be in the first cycle as they would of been late! Also if you don't ask all these questions you will never learn, lizzy was and still is quite shy and quiet she didn't really like the camera, so at first you did hardly ever heard her speak until last lambing really when she started doing a bit of vloging for cammy as he had other commitments to attend. It was only after this she started her own little channel, so before this how would we know what she asked and didn't ask why the camera weren't on? Also people won't learn anything from you sam if you didn't ask this that and the other ❤
