The key to this is your fretting hand tilt. If you look at how he tilts his fingers you should rest the neck right where your index finger meets your hand. curl your index and reach with your ring or pinky finger. I use my ring finger. I learned this on my own. It did take a few weeks of practice but I can do it now in my sleep. Once you get it you'll want to show everyone! have fun!
