While sexualities are obviously not personalities, a lot of Majira’s watchers are LGBTQ+. Many of them are closeted or don’t really know many people like them, which can make them feel alone. Knowing and being able to watch a KZbinr they like who with similar interests that is LGBTQ+ like them (and perhaps even sharing their own sexual orientation and/or gender identity) can help them feel a little bit better about their own queerness. It’s not nice feeling that nobody gets it. Sometimes just being quiet about everything relating to sex can be detrimental to mental health and well-being for this reason and cause a lot of unnecessary shame. Perhaps you “don’t care” but they don’t necessarily know that, and a lot of people out there do care what their sexuality/orientation is, and they might be people they know and interact with daily and constantly have to deal with that hostility (that the right word?) and might believe that that person is somehow in the right. So therefore while his orientation doesn’t really have that much of an impact on many of us, it almost definitely will for a small group of people, and that is enough. I dunno if he’s specifically disclosed his sexuality or not on KZbin (perhaps he has on Twitter), but a lot of his following perhaps don’t even have Twitter or follow his Twitter, so maybe this info will still make someone’s day I guess.
