This man is going through all the emotions of a true life transformation... it makes you reconsider EVERYTHING, and if there is a deep incident of pain, second guessing is normal and natural. It has only been a year... he still has grief to work through, and possibly love, and he also admitted that before his faith change, there were things he did for which he needs forgiveness for from his wife. He will eventually pass through this stage with the right counsel, and he got it here... he has no obligation beyond his legal ones to his ex-wife, and should build himself up to be the best father he can be to meet the needs of his children. That's enough.

Here’s some practical advice: if you have any legal obligations to pay her (settlement, alimony, child support), stack up cash so you have enough to pay the full term of all debts. Dude have some sympathy? His wife at the time cheated on him and she is being unreasonable with him, not to mention he has to fight his emotions as he really loved this woman as it was not him who cheated. He said he was a bit emotional so his mind is somewhat all over the place. Dave did a great job keeping him on track and in the end everything was answered and done.

I don't see how. Dave's view on marriage is the traditional view on marriage people have been doing for thousands of years. Man works, woman stays home, take vows, no divorce, forgiveness not stupidity, Counseling, Man calls the shots, woman submits, husband has his role Wife has her role. What's the issue here? All the proper Married couples are living happily under this. The only time it's a problem is when someone ain't doing what they are suppose to be doing. How many times you hear of somebody getting Married 2,3,4,5 times. It don't work because the couple don't work. People aren't choosing who they Marry wisely it's more of "I like this person, we're adults, let's get married" that's not how you determine who to Marry. Are you both on the same page? Do you both agree on how to raise children? Are you both like minded on spirituality (Same religion)? are you both like minded on money? Are you both like minded on who rules the house? Is the woman wife material (Great care giver, partner, trustworthy, helper, loving etc.) and the man wife material? Strong leader, merciful, loving, hard worker etc.) Men who whine about traditional view of marriage tend to not be married or don't understand marriage, and women who whine about the traditional view of marriage tend to not be married or don't understand it either. On the chance that they are married, there are all sorts of outside influences in the marriage that cause problems because the ideas clash, it don't work ie. the caller doesn't seem like a strong leader based on his demeanor and tone and she definitely was not trustworthy as she committed adultery. Looks like they weren't on the same page, these things aren't mysteries, that's why you date and you ask and you watch then you love then you marry.

@@mrfred1000 that's great in fantasy land. Fact is, because of the way divorce and family courts are set up, as soon as she feels froggy it is over for the guy. Women make horrible life choices based on emotion; therefore they are supposed to submit to men who make decisions based on facts and reason. The court system reverses these roles. Only the stupid would you marry under these circumstances.

@AJ-ox8xy
@AJ-ox8xy 5 жыл бұрын
I think he should offer to have the kids stay with him so it shares the responsibility a little more while giving her the time to get back on her feet with work. This way he knows his kids are being cared for and his ex-wife can take care of herself instead of him trying to do it all, which would be unfair. He does seem like a good guy and he obviously was a victim in this rather then the perpetrator, but there needs to be some understanding on her part that she is responsible, from now on , for her life.
