Comunication, i also feel super hard talk to devs, and i don't understand why they are super close to comunication. All the mecanics can be change or not, i don't care but the comunication need to be improve absolutly! Also refound system, Test server, Commander rework, Unique item rework are all important but start comunicate is number 1 priority!

Personally I think there needs to be a commander overhaul with the option for a respect hammer. 1) Don’t release two new t3’s. Fix the meta comms, redo some lesser played comms to make new options viable for the game and the meta. 2) Because of the overhaul, offer the option for respect item reset, similar to the current item hammer. 3) More map options. I play RP so there’s only so many times we can play the RG & TE. Glad to know you are not quitting - you are the only person I take in content from and I would hate to see you move away from the game. A matchmaking system to balance servers would be my biggest request for devs. Either that, or no more hiding your faction in bag end. Getting steamrolled by groups that spend more on the game than I did on my house is not fun and I'm about ready to quit myself after several years of playing now. Communication is also huge. The devs are TERRIBLE at Communication, and as people spend money, I agree that we deserve to have some feedback like other developers do.

You are so right. There are no events in the game. I wrote about this, the activity they did to the authorities in the game was to bring fog at the beginning of the season and give coins. Although it has a very good story, unfortunately, they think that such a poorly managed game cannot be done, let's make money, the rest is not important. Enjoyed this video I rarely comment but I felt it necessary on this one as I just don't think you can have it both ways. I've watched plenty of your streams where you have commented that if someone is marching at you presume its a counter due to clarevoyance and sensed your own frustration as it is absolutely the perfect counter for your army when it hits. To then say here you think its disappointing in effect to see it removed to hit enemy armies is to me just showing where you are with the game currently which is coming across a little negative and its contradictory to incidents which have happened so often on your streams. Personally think its a good thing gets people back to good old scouting or building 3-4 comms which try to counter a variety of situations. The ideas you are calling for are great however and I do hope you become less frustrated and get renewed vigour for the game after a few rough seasons. Keep up the good work but as best you can try to hit a reset button on your feelings on the game and remember why so many of us play. The community we play in, the fun of great battlefields and ofcourse those sweet gold loot drops are just three of those. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ENJOY IT.

Hi ATME, It would be nice to see you do a “must have” commander list for each alignment and level of importance for each of your selected comms. It would help direct players and ensure that they have a counter for most comms on the battlefield. I just leveled Gimli to R10 (also working on gtg R7 and Faramir R7 for unique, Dwalin R10) and wondering who to aim for next. I really want to make sure I’m able to defend myself against every comm

I would like to see a all commander review of what rounds they trigger their skills and which ones “cover” or knock out other commanders. I.e. undying cancels out healing 4-10 and x commanders heals in 6,7,9 wouldn’t work.

I'm playing since season one and at some point I'm not making any progress (and I did spend quite some money), the drop rates of golden items needs to go up drasticly. Or atleast give for every 20-30 pull one guarantee golden item. Last I opened chests for 60 Mathoms, 5 golden respect and 0 golden gear...thats way to less

ive quit lots of online/mobile games for various of reasons, the biggest reason being i have better things to do than go through the repetitive cycle of PAY TO WIN, you can grind them wasting your life so PAY TO WIN. - swgoh, msf, raid, age of magic. All i need is a distraction for a few hours every now and then.

After 8 seasons, I've finally quit 3 weeks ago. You cant beat the biggest factions nor joining them because its already full with rich players. At some point, we are just sandbags for the rich. Enough is enough.

So my analysis is as follows, I think the game moved too fast for the devs. Mobile games have an interesting balance, they need to release new content at a pace where larger spenders do not get bored and the game continues to feel fresh without feeling like an endless grind. I would say a good example is Raid shadow legends, they have endless new content released every 2 months or so that revamps the game and the meta. Now the difference is they are mainly pve focused as a game, so if they ever decide to rework a champion people might be grumpy but they will survive they wont lose an edge per se. Now come to Rise to War. This game is entirely pvp, or at least 90%. In order to make commanders competitive in the game you need to invest HEAVILY in "most" of them, (looking at you dwalin). Now the problem becomes that investing months, hundreds of dollars for many people, and several seasons building the perfectly geared galadriel, or theoden, or lurtz or sauron is so expensive and time consuming that I think the developers are frankly afraid of any backlash they would get from the community if they ever tried to do balance changes to any commanders in the game. To this date I struggle to think of a single balance change to any commander in the game save for the Half/elven skill tree for elrond and his family, albeit it was underwhelming and had very little impact. The biggest reason I think the devs are so scared to touch commanders is because of the MASSIVE community backlash to the burn damage scandal, when dwarves got burn damage reduction built into their kit. The meta was stale with EVERYONE investing in easy to build and win witch kings. When the backlash happened I remember tons and tons of players trying to get refunds, threatening to quit, trying to bully the devs into reversing the changes. All because they had significant investment in commanders they now felt were weaker. This is why I do not think they will ever balance change any heroes in this game. They are too afraid of the backlash from people investing. Now because there is no future plan or any kind of indication given the past year that they have any interest in buffing weaker commanders, or adjusting stronger ones, why would any person, whale to low spender, invest money into any commander that is in the bottom 2/3rds of the meta. Why would anyone invest in merry and pippin, why would they try to build a strong balin, why would anyone chase after a thranduil when there is absolutely 0 indication they will ever be anything but a waste of money? So everyone funnels their money into the meta strong champions, so what happens when they reach r25? even the moderate spenders are getting close to the r20's. The devs are releasing commanders too slow to create new bait for the spenders to chase after, and they are not buffing any commanders so spenders will have to switch targets. So what happens? How long will spenders spend on only hunting gear? I think there is just a fundamental problem to how this game is currently being developed in terms of chasing long term replayability and everyone is starting to see that. This is why they are trying to slow seasons down.

I like how you are diplomatic and calm in your approach, well said! My feedback would be more in the realm of "where in the everliving fuck does all the money go, why are they so goddamn incompetent, why are the updates so bad" etc. Imagine this game wasn't LotR related - it would be long dead. It's just stagnating so hard and doesn't feel like a 2023 game. A shameless cashgrab that relies on Tolkien's name and trapping players by making them spend on their favorite hero It's also insane how unreliable the action in the game is. They throw you into a server, do the bare minimum and expect you to make it balanced, fun, etc. I think it's important to realize that most players don't want to invest so much extra time to make the game enjoyable, why isn't there some more action-reliable PvE mode already? It's INSANE! THEY ARE INSANE!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most important thing for me right now is a respect refund system. I completely agree with you here. With the meta changing over time it hurts investing in commanders we love personally for them not to fit the current meta and have no way to change this.

It won't happen because of money, don't know why ppl can't understand that aspect.

He mentioned this in the video but I'm not a big fan of this. It doesn't fix the underlying problem of many commanders being quite worthless. With a respect refund system we'd see even higher respect versions of a few top commanders like Sunind, Isildur, Dwalin, Sauron. Instead I'd like to have the commander balancing improved so that every commander is worth investing.

Commander balance is the main reason I stopped playing. In my last season I was fighting maxed gold gear item characters that were r20-r25. I was 10 levels up on them and still losing my main commander was a high level r15 eowyn I might try and join your fellowship Btw.

Oh wow, I hope not. I dont like the respect refund, because it will lead to everyone using the same 4 commanders and be very boring. I would love to see how interesting builds being done. I am working on maxing Sharku, f2p, it is long. I dont see being able to max others unless the rolls are in my favor.

People already use the same 4 commanders...the meta has been established for basically a year. meta: WKs, GTG, Sunind, Dwalin, common: Gil Galad, Gimli, Mouth of Sauron, Theoden, Khaldoon. I see these comms all the damn time. why are only a handful of comms viable when we have access to over 50....with respect refund it would allow for flexibility and maybe people would try non meta stuff.

Respect refund = no diversity , the first thing that will happen all players will dump their failed builds or average builds and you'll see nothing but sunids witch kings and Gills running around. It amazes this guy never thinks about what could happen, I remember the last brilliant idea of lets have less servers and now we get 1 NRP RG every 2-3weeks (thanks for that). One of the only reasons why this game is fun is because most dont have the same 2 commanders because they have committed to a non metta character, give refund respect and ill trade in my R7 cestaro , skalhelm R8 saruman R5 black serpent and ill put all that in Sunid. How long before all evil players start doing that?

I see what you mean, and I agree, but I think there are 2 sides to it. I do think about what could happen actually :) We've talked for countless hours on videos and streams about this issue, so I will try to summarize a little bit, but I'd encourage you to hop into the next RtW stream to join in on the conversation. Obviously with the current META there might be less diversity, but this is making some assumptions about how they implement a respect refund system. If it's something like the Elven craftsman's hammers, it wouldn't shift that might because players could only move remove respect one 1 or 2 commanders for vouchers and then use those vouchers to over time increase the respect on other commanders. Let's face it, people that whale out on this game get what they because they spend money. They aren't going to see a crazy amount of improvement because they refund 2 commanders respect. The player group that in my opinion stand to benefit the most is the F2P/low spenders. Refund a mistake made could be the difference in getting another commander going to actually compete in the META. So if "less diversity" means that F2P players have a little better time I think it's worth it, but if you're wanting those players to just continue getting beat up by whales with their poorly invested commanders then that will most likely lead to those players quitting. At the end of the day, we need some commander balancing as well, but they don't do that very often so I don't think my hopes are high.

@@allthingsmiddleearth I would argue that the F2p and krakens are the two groups who are likely to suffer from a respect refund and dolphins and whales have the most to benefit. Lets say a f2p has one R10 tier 3 character which isn't meta and not much respect in any other characters cause they are f2p. If its a 1:1 exchange they can get 1 meta character to R11-12, whereas a high end dolphin like myself can trade in far more respect , i could get my Sauron to R22, Wk and sunid to R14. Not only does this clearly give myself an advantage in battle vs enemies but also gives myself a massive advantage against my Allies in early game farming, i was on my 8th 200 before they had taken their 1st, give us dolphins a couple more high respect characters and I can guarantee a f2p will not get a 200 unless they move. Top of my head these i dont use anymore Saruman R9 skahelm R7 Cestaro R7 Bs R5 Undying R4 Lurtz R11 Audane R8 Grima R10 Gorbag R15 Kaldoon R15 So you can see i have a lot to gain but id never want it implemented as I value seeing diversity on the map. Then lets look at the finical side of things , why buy a new character when you can simply trade items for them? This I believe based on other mobile games will lead to a price hike as the devs will target krakens for deals as they are the ones who will still purchase. So to keep F2p from quitting this feature is not the answer, you only widen the margins between f2p and dolphins , you widen the margins between dolphins and whales but you close the gap between whales and krakens. The concern should be is how do we get dolphins and whales to say in this game as they, not F2p are key to the survival of this game. Why would a dolphin/whale stick around when their non metta passion projects suddenly start getting slapped by F2P sunids and WK? and who do these whacky fun non metta characters vs when a guild of 100 literally has 100 sunids.
