Where's the time gone ... ) and I'm as impressed as ever about how you review figures. So eloquently, so very descriptive. It's always a joy to hear you ramble about them even if I myself might not be too familiar or even interested in them. I feel like this sets you apart from other figure tubers. I appreciate it. I basically have turned my unboxings into mini reviews, as I'm not actually great at coming up with detailed descriptions on the spot lol. So usually I write down my thoughts and fit them into these videos as best as possible.

Not stupid, IMHO. While I have yet to rebuy something that isn't a video game, I have definitely been tempted to repurchase an imperfect or damaged item I love. Even now, I struggle to not rebuy the collector's editions of several anime movies that are dear to my heart, that arrived damaged because Amazon Japan couldn't be bothered to package their stuff properly. Thank you, Zucco, for making me realize I am not alone in these desires. ;)

I love the Neru figure. She definitely pairs better with with the Max Factory Asuna rather then the Good Smile ver. Still my Blue Archive collection will continue to grow lol

Also I have contemplated replacing figures I've broken, but the Fire Emblem Camilla scale goes for about 100K yen and it's only the back that I damaged the bit so I ignore that until I feel it wouldn't run me financially to get her again as she was my first figure.

Can totally relate. Broken figures or figures that I sold and have sellers remorse for are a huge trigger for my (mild) OCD tendencies, and has resulted in me buying some figures up to 4 times over the years. I get the mindworm that my collection is incomplete unless I have a "complete" copy of the figure or if my collection is missing something I used to have. I am getting better, especially on the seller's remorse front, at accepting that I need to live with purchasing/ selling decisions and that a little glue doesn't invalidate the quality of my collection. My Neru has her angry face.

I'm thankful I don't have too much sellers remorse, though I used to be very bad about stuff like box damage. I just hate the idea of buying something new and I get it damaged in the mail. Very guilty of returning videogames in the mail if they came smooshed for example, or even manga if they weren't packaged correctly and get bent up or something. Can't really do the same with figures but I legit hate buying from places that use UPS cause I have a terrible track record of receiving damaged boxes from them

I haven't broke a scale figure yet *knock on wood* but I do have some prize figures that broke during moves and a nendo where one piece is broken. I have definitely consider and almost picked up a replacement for them even though it isn't a noticeable break. Great haul though! I'm always so tempted by the blue archive figures even though I haven't played the game or anything

I received Reimu about 3 days ago (first ques q figure)... she is so ambitious and delicate. So so beautiful! But like you mentioned, on the small side. Ques q really did an amazing job! Awesome haul! I'm looking for the recolor now..

I would've done the same if I really liked the figure and just sell the broken one. Its good that you found a great deal for the new one! Is there a right kind of super glue to use for fixing figures or is it just unavoidable? (sorry for the noob question hehe i'm still fairly new to the hobby)

tbh that's something I need to learn myself. I've always just used crazy/gorilla glue and its worked fine though I know with model kits they have something called liquid cement. Have no idea if thats safe to try on scale figures but I do own a bottle of it somewhere since I used to mess around with model kits

Got a Mash that was broken for cheap. One of my newer ones, a fox girl on some rainbow flames, one of the flames I snapped off trying to get her placed in them. Although I wonder if they were glued in in the first place. And finally, after having it for 10 years or whenever it came out, the basic Tenshi figure in her uniform with the wide wings. My hand just grazed one of the wings and snapped the top peg holding it in. Somehow it still looks fine, but it was a bit disheartening. I say a bit because it's always given me troubles trying to keep her standing (she's fallen from height, and I tried using tape around her foot to keep her up), and I eventually got the 1/7th version in the goth loli dress anyway.

Love the haul and the little story of the Remi figure, I have also considered like 10 times to buy a replacement for a figure I broke soon after buying it, but then I feel like the broken parts give it a personal feel and that I should use money for other things. Nevertheless, I also got that Reimu figure and the quality is so astounding that it is hard to believe

They don't typically reopen preorders but its very likely they will have some extra stock when the figure is released. Might take a little bit longer for them to actually relist that extra stock though, but usually they do include the bonuses

First! Hehe. I didn’t know about the Linkin Park Nendos, omg. The K-Angel Nendoroid packaging is very pretty. Might pick her up with the GSC bonus, cause separating that girl from her meds is a crime. Also, I just love morbid accessories. I recently got her Pop Up Parade and also that silly SEGA prize figure with the weird face, just as a Meme.

Similar comments to what i wrote on mfc when i got neru early. Even tho the hair color seems weaker compared to the prototype 1, its actually closer to the art. As a huge fan of blue archive, im happy that you went through and got this neru fig.

I haven't broken a figure as of now. But I did lose an end to a hand knife and it's clear as day. I wouldn't say I wouldn't replace something if the price was right and if it really is a nicely done figure. I have only had one figure arrive broken, but it was fixable and couldn't see it. Factory flawed where it was like glue in the pants line, I just sold it and took a loss. I really couldn't ignore it.

W as always. I recently got the default Karin by max factory and it's my first time being "victim" of weird scaling. She is smaller than both Asuna and Neru even tho they are all suposed to be 1/7, and it looks so wrong side by side lmao. She looks awesome tho, a bit dissapointed with the size but oh well. I had 1 figure break, my dad broke it by accident haha. It was a Keke Tang (Love Live) figma, one of the arms broke in a way that couldn't just be replaced with the parts that come with it but he felt bad and got me a new one (goat). Now I have 2 Keke Tangs even tho 1 has a fixed arm with glue, can't complain 🤭. In this case it was really easily replaced and not thaaat expensive but damn, weirdly, it still felt so bad because of the attatchment side + it was a rough time in life.

Weird that max factory would fumble with the size like that, but as long as the figure looks good its fine I guess. I wonder if my parents would replace a figure they broke lol. They are very supporting overall but never really loved my collecting habits

I did damaged Albedo so bin figure when trying to clean up messy QC stuff (UCI). About two years ago was it, and since then I have need to buy new one. Well still didn't do it (UCI = you never know what you'll get + didn't find a steal price till now). Still tempted though....

idk if it counts as damage cus it was intentional, but the Jibril freeing bunny I got, the wings would NOT fit into the holes made for them to put it together so I used my box cutter to gently shave down the nubs so they fit XD

I mainly collect magical girls and bought Kotobukiya's Tsuruno Yui from Magic Record. Her combat weapons are folding fans with ribbons at the binding joint. The ribbons for the figure are obviously plastic and are so small, any pressure causes them to snap off. The hole in Tsuruno's palm is awkwardly placed, and the peg on the fan would not stay in place. Naturally, one time the fan falls, and I struggle to return it to her palm...only for the ribbon to snap off. A few weeks go by, and in frustration I order a new Tsuruno Yui. Only for the same ribbon on the same fan in her same right hand to snap off again after again struggling to keep the peg in her palm. So yeah, now both are in storage.

I only brought one figure because I damaged it. It was the Morgana nendoroid, his rubber at the legs got damaged so I pulled the trigger as he got a rerelease (I got lucky, he got listed with a wrong price so I spend 10€ less than the actual preorder price). As a nice bonus they changed his box design to fit the other phantom thieves better. That's one of the reasons why I decided to keep both. And nendoroids are cheap compared to scale figures. If I would ever end up to damage one of my Akechi scales I would cry and pay for a new one. The aftermarket is brutal for both but I need my boy in perfect condition.

Replacing figures is definitely easier when they are cheaper. If I never found this second Remilia for the price I did I likely wouldn't have bought another. Deal hunting is very fun for me though so I'm glad I stumbled into this deal

I feel you, I also broke several parts of figures. Even threw one that was beyond recovery. If it did bother me a lot at first, I guess now the enjoyment of having the character to look at overshines some imperfections. I see it the same way as when the company had some issues with the painting or anything else. And then, I was stressing during all the video, looking at your broad movements near Remu... ^^' That grown-up and more dark look of Remu is really nice and original too. I feel somehow interested by it.

I've damaged one of my figures right when I unboxed it. Instantly hated my life for a second, but I wasn't prepared well. This girl had a gigantic witch hat with a magnet inside and I totally misscalculated the weight. Luckily, only a piece of hair at the back of her head broke apart, which was easily glued and it's not visible, as long as no one turnes the figure around.

I would have probably done the same for a figure that I really liked and couldn't bear to see it in that state. That, or I would just get a "better" figure of the same character (from a different company/newer design) and banish the broken one into the box realm (until I decide to sell it off). My cat broke one of my figures back when I had just started collecting, I was pretty naive and I bought it from a local store, turns out the figure was a bootleg so I'm not upset at all, but it did make me learn the lesson as to where to display them, so now I have shelves with glass doors so I don't have to worry about it. (I'm also never buying bootlegs again) But I did drop my Nakano Nino scale figure from Kotobukiya, it fell from about 1,5m but by a miracle she didn't get damaged at all, but I definitely learned a lesson to take more care when moving them, my collection is still pretty small (23 figures) but I love this hobby, the only problem is import tax, not only are the wages low since I live in a third world county, but I also have to worry about import tax, "stimulate the national industry" my ass, anyways, it's hard to collect because of this, but I don't care, it's fun.

Ive damaged a Sukuna Nendoroid, for some reason it was idk very fragile, like his hands fingers broke idk how just by touching it and putting in the hands. Thank g Amazon had some in stock and it wasnt a 3rd party meaning I could swap it. Amazon returns are generally really good since they just trash every return whether still good or not and it doesnt dent Amazon stocks all that much. Initially it was bought online from a figure distributor and those dont accept return unless unopen in original condition or contacting manufacturer. I had rather not go through all that with mosg likely not getting a replacement so I went the scummy route 😅 Mayhaps the broken one was a bootleg? Because the 2ne one was alot easier to manage and smoother to place the hands. Anyway, yeah thats the only one ive broken oh and my resin, a small part fell from my hand while sitting on the floor, not even one feet high and it just shattered, fortunately the piece went on the back therefore it isnt visable if its missing.

I dont know if the supplier would have offered to sell you JUST the spear (if it was removable) but I would have emailed them and given it a shot. I had a broken hair piece (OOB failure) on a figure from i-forgot-who and they sent me the entire top-half of the figure as warranty replacement. But otherwise, 100% support re-buying a completely new figure so long as it's within your means. I had a few possessions I cared about over the years which had accidental scuff on it, but that ate away at me and invaded my thoughts from time to time lol. If I wasn't a broke student back then I would have definitely bought replacements.

I've damaged one of my favorite figures when the shelf she was on collapsed orz I'm really torn about replacing her, the damage is only visible up close but i know it's there.. and her aftermarket isn't great so i would have to pay way more for the new one..

I buy duplicates of things I like just to store in case there's a damage on one of my copy and I have a spare so I won't need to pay high price points in case i accidentally broke my copy, which mind you what I like USUALLY goes up in price.I don't sell my collections but I love how I have an option to gain a profit if I actually do.

I've been really thinking about getting that Marin Swimsuit fig by Aniplex. I can get it for $160 on TOM, and I don't normally do swimsuit figures. In fact I only own one and that one is Vivi from One Piece and that was the first figure I ever owned so its not the best, but I still keep it in my Detolf for sentimental reasons. But yeah, I did decent on that TOM lottery thing a month or two ago so I have this $15 off coupon I have to use on something before the end of March. I don't really like pre-ordering things from TOM, so I'd ideally want to get something in stock.

My TOM experience has been mostly good so far. I don't really love staying subscribed to a service that I don't plan to always use but everything I've ordered from them has arrived safely and the prices were good after all the points shenanigans

As for the damaged figures, I had just unboxed the Black Bunny Aoi and White Bunny Natsume. Natsume's bunny ear broke while trying to put it in the key. Both figures had issues going on their stands and just in general. Also, I had purchased an old used Nymph figure from HLP. The hair had broke on arrival sadly. I ended up using Lexel for both, and id say they look good still

I have never damaged damage a 100-300 dollar figure. I damaged a 4000 dollar statue. Luckily it was an insignificant part of the base as opposed to the character and epoxy worked decent. It's not at all noticable. The only figure I've replaced is due to color transfer, it came with a red cushin and.. apprentally it bleeds onto the figure.... replaced, now displaying w/o cushin.

Actually ... I did the same. My fav. figure is Astaroth by MegaHouse. During the move to my current house she got damaged. A hand snapped off ; that was repeared easily and very well. However, her base got damaged too and no matter what I tried, she kept listing a lot. In the end, I decided to rebuy her ; just for the base :o ... But I can't buy the base itself and I can't repair the current one. And she needs to be in my collection. Like I said, she's my fav. So ... I really understand :)

It's very hard if not impossible to find replacements for stuff like weapons or bases. You pretty much HAVE to buy another figure unless you get extremely lucky so yeah I get where you are comin from

Lol I totally get wanting to buy a replacement fig. I think my worst one was breaking my medicom Maka ,and also applied too much super glue so it seeped out😭 I learned to like her again after ignoring her for months lol but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a new one if they’d ever rerelease it. I received a damaged naberal gamma but since her aftermarket was so high i didn’t get around to replacing her, that is until alter announced her rerelease. So I sold my damaged copy for around 100€ and will pick up the rerelease once its out. Reimu looks gorgeous, i really adore the touhouvania figures and hope they‘ll do some more. I love that blue archive bunny and have been contemplating on buying it for a while but i still haven’t reached a decision yet T-T

We got Flandre to look forward to in October I think? Gonna be a good one, but I hope we get a few more to round the series out. Had a few nitpicks with Neru but I'm very happy with her. The price currently isn't great though which makes her harder to recommend

Not dumb. I'll tell you what is dumb: I damaged my set of 1/8 Cowboy Bebop figures and, when the rerelease came around, I ended up buying them again. You might think "okay, understandable", but I ultimately ended up selling both the damaged set and the new set, lol. I kind of felt before buying the replacements that I wasn't THAT in love with the figures, but I went and did it anyway. If I damaged one of my favorite figures, I would probably buy it again as long as the aftermarket wasn't horrific. (My one exception being my very first figure. It's damaged, but... I would feel guilty replacing that one specifically because of sentimental attachment.)

It's like when I bought a Fate scale figure and noticed one day that there seemed to be a discoloration on her nose. I couldn't remove it, so I bought another one. Luckily it was cheap. But she had the same discoloration. Exactly the same. I really like the figure, and now I have two. The discoloration must be on every single one of them. I can't quite work out what it is either.

I don’t really break my figures but more my resins…😅 I did scratch the base of my ff7 tifa figure but I hate the quality of that figure so much that I will never replace her. If I do love a figure/statue it does bother me if I know something is broken on it, so I supppse getting a double of one of your favorite figures is okay 👍.

I mostly collect prize figures, so when they break I just glue them generally. I've never broken one so bad it needed replacing, or that it was one I cared enough to replace...And I only have the one scale figure, the Amakuni Jaden Yuki, and while I haven't broken anything on him...His handful of cards fell when I was displaying him and just...Disappeared into the either. I've looked so many times for them only to come up empty handed(pun not intended) so...He lives in his box now. And probably forever until I get a shelf for him.

Those tiny cards that Yugioh figures come with are so easy to lose. Just get absorbed into the carpet when they fall off the figure lol

Zucco, are you stupid for buying a second copy to replace a broken-first copy? Maybe and I cant blame you for feeling of wanting to replace something you REALLY love, plus you also said you can sell the broken copy. That's the collector's mindset, I completely understand. At this point of my collecting life, I have asked myself that dilemma too and Ive have come to a content-compromise (so to speak) For both my figures and mangas that are either broken, dinked corners, bad misprint copy, etc. I would try to fix it and keep the copy myself because I personally do not want anyone else to have a broken/bad copy IF I were to re-sell the figure or manga. Unless they wouldnt mind it and of course, I would be honest with my copy

I recently broke the (at the time) most expensive figure in my collection while putting her together. I got the only existing scale figure of Metallia from the game "The witch and the hundred knight". I got her used (so she was slightly bent in places - which I did not notice), while building her she has to fit 4 places at the same time (which partially have to be slot in beforehand) and she is very stylised (her arms and legs are almost as thin as the ones of Sonic the hedgehog), so her right foot broke off. To glue it back on in a way she fits in all of the 4 places, I had to slightly push her leg up, squeeze the glue in and then release the leg... So I did not see where the glue went until it was too late. Run all over her foot/shoe. Tried to remove it, damaged the paint where the glue went off, in the other places the glue was not budging. RIP. Idk if Iwill be trying to fix her gluey foot in the future, for now I display her anyway in an angle where her other leg blocks the view on that foot as much as possible. Since that every used figure I bought was in a worse condition as discribed by the seller. I might have angered the figure gods or something 😅

I've always liked that figure but never played the game so I talked myself out of buying her. Fairly ambitious sculpt for a figure from 2014 though and like you said very stylized. Sorry to hear about the damages

@@ZuccoFigures The game is good (though a little too grindy for me in places), I recommend the hd version if you have PS4 (the non hd version is playable on a decent PS3 emulator). While I agree that it was ambitious for the time, the paint job and quality is not as good as my Good Smile 1/7 Death Master from 2011 (but more detailed)... But I love her. Thank you.

Can't say yes or no really cuz it depends on individuals. Personally, I may have further seek out someone well versed with repairs and try to salvage it, however it may cost a lot more. For the opportunity you were presented with (which I may jump at too), and that you also tried your best at repairing.. cut yourself some slack man. Maybe sell/give away the figure to avoid reminding yourself of the 'pain'.

Ive had more luck getting replacement parts for my GK figures than my official figures. The official channels almost never respond back or just tell you are out of luck, but the GK distributors contact the studio on your behalf and ive gotten a whole head replaced as well as broken.... dildo replaced. Just had to pay shipping my way.

Good Smile Company is pretty good when it comes to replacement parts but yeah pretty much every other company wont care. I dont own any GKs but its nice to know they are willing to help

Personally, I sometimes get two copies of a figure i like just to unbox one and keep the other sealed. Of course it won't work for expensive scales, more like nendos, action figures such as SHF\Figma and so on.

I have two figures I broke off parts while cleaning them 😔I will not replace them, because a) their aftermarket price is insane - and b) it happened to parts that are not really visible. But everytime I clean them now I am super anxious that something else might break.

I have a damaged resin, but the damage is on a small removable part that doesn't add to the whole composition, so no waaay I'm replacing that whole figure. Glue and forget. But I actually totally see myself getting a replacement figure for, let's say, the Ten count boys if I were ever to break them slightly and if there was a good deal. So it's not like it's an absolutely insane of a thing to do 😂 maybe just a little 😅

@ZuccoFigures I have 3, unboxed 2. The first one has that damage, the second one is flawless, but the damage to the 1st one was done after the assembly when I picked it up somewhat carelessly. But OMG, assembling a resin makes my stress hormones go up the charts, I sweat like crazy. It's a very intense experience.

I had an issue with the magnet not clicking into place as it was installed on the opposite end. Fortunately I was still under "warranty" and got a replacement shipped. I doubt they be willing to replace a broken part from misuse or handling since they wanted videos and pictures and everything otherwise they weren't going to replace it. So yeah, sometimes it just better to glue it together and thats it. Too much hassle communicating and not knowing if you'll get a replacement or not, especially resin

i broke my damn archer figure sorry my mom broke his arrow part Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works - Archer - ALTAiR (Alter). was first expensive figure. the bow snapped when trying to put it on cause wasnt sitting properly on hand. well not exactly snapped wouldnt go back in tiny pegs together. it's so sad. but with newest figure im buying which costs more then that one i will treasure it. also I'm more invested in this series. its such a shame when something breaks. i have him displayed with daggers such a shame. well he more expensive now so nvm im thinking of when i bought him

Haha, I still use that exact folding table to film my anime unboxing videos. I just did a video and I dropped a figure prior to doing the B roll. I just fixed her and I don't see me buying another Miss Forture from Riot Games.
