As I posted on Facebook: “And the cool thing is that he went through the donut line an hour or so before we did. In the video are the same ATC people that helped us, and the same two people (including the guy that provided the set of Allen wrenches that we used to disassemble the bikes) that helped us load the big boxes in our plane. Even the stack of gifts were in the same place our stack of gifts were in. He even landed, taxied, and took off from the same surfaces I did. And he documented the same headwinds and bumps we had, too. 🥴 As a result, I now claim this video as my own via eminent domain. 😀 Loved it!”

I fly from a non-towered airport, so when I do fly into and out of a towered airport, it is exactly like this video. Kind of like a country driver showing up in the big city.

@@GreatMichiganBushCo I was kind of surprised it worked out as well as it did. I'm a data engineer by trade, so this was the first time developing an entire system like this. Definitely identified some things I'd like to improve upon (unsurprisingly, most of which is in the data/process model), but I would love any feedback you might have to make the system better for you as a volunteer pilot.

Do pilots need to sign up ahead of time or just show up on Saturday?
