I had watched this movie at the age of 11 and today after 40 years i watched it for the second time. Memories are so fresh. Utpal Dattji, David sirji were in their mid or late fifties and they were enjoying their lives then. Now at 51 i feel that the life is over. Carrying too many old memories is also painful. That era was so nice. Simple and respectful people. No smartphones, no internet. Life was beautiful. Can't forget those days. Missing late parents with whom i had enjoyed this movie.

I watched this movie more than 30 times and everytime I enjoyed it. Hrishikesh mukherjee was true legend and one of the best director. His all movies like chupke chupke, Anand, Golmaal, bawarchi, Namak Haram, Guddi, Mili, Abhimaan, Anupama, Khubsoorat, Naram Garam, bemisal etc etc were masterpiece. He was genius directors. The best thing is that I watched this movie n numbers of time with my whole family and specially with my father. Missing those beautiful days. Saturday matinee at Doordarshan what a weekend for us. Pure comedy without any vulgarity nudity. I love all classic comedy movies. This era was of comedy movies like Golmal, Seedhi baat, era was of Hrishikesh Mukherjee sir. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Anand is the best Indian film I have ever watched. In Anand the acting of Amitabh Bachchan, Ramesh Deo, Sumita Sanyal, Asit Sen, Lalita Pawar, Seema Deo & Johny Walker is peerless. I am not enable to speak about the acting ability of Superstar Kaka. So I don't want to write about him.
