AM Skincare Routine: How I Include the Medicube Booster Pro!

Because of the price, I find that I use the Medicube more because I need to justify it! My skin has been looking like a crystal dumpling! I like to put all my skincare on and use my heaviest, most occlusive moisturizer as a lubricant for the device. My skin isn't sensitive at all so this method works for me!

So glad you shared your enthusiasm for the Axis -y eye cream in an earlier video. I have very dry, sensitive skin and need an eye cream. I also cry easily when upset and usually puff up which of course makes you feel even more miserable. My mum died recently and I used that eye cream with its lovely cool feeling roller after every time I had a weep and it was not only soothing as all else but no puffiness! It certainly helped me feel better quicker. I have my backup one in the drawer and intend to never be without it.

I’m tired of influencers saying “k-beauty doesn’t know how to do retinoids” when it was South Korean brand Iope that was one of the first companies in the world to successfully stabilize vitamin A for sale in cosmetics! They just haven’t market retinoids to younger demographics until recently, with increasing western market and influence.

Totally agree about lip spf. I wish there were more spf 50 lip balms. I am pretty obsessed with lip products anyway and currently using the Hello Sunday spf 50 lip balm which is nice as it doubles as a gloss too! Also there are some pretty decent ones ive seen on Amazon...i live in the UK so i dont know whats available in the US. But i do wish there were more lip balms with a higher spf! 😊 xx

I’m obsessed with Bondi Sands SPF50 lip balms. ❤ They don’t have any of that strong spf taste like the Hello Sunday one, but they are all flavoured/scented so maybe not ideal for super sensitive skin.

Your channel is very helpful - I think you are superwoman - the schedule that you keep up for your videos, plus working, and having to find time for yourself is really amazing! I really do appreciate you - Wow! I bought Snoxin ll last week and I also tried their under eye patches - they aren't bad, but I find they tear easily. I loved your review of the Beauty of Josean products from about a year ago. My son actually brought the sunscreen to my attention just this week and then I went down the “rabbit hole” of researching the brand and other products in their skincare line and found your channel. I see now that you have a new routine that doesn’t include Beauty of Josean. Do you still use the products or do you find your currents more effective? I have been through 2 NEWA RF devices in 3 or 4 years that's unacceptable for an expensive a hyped device. Have been planning a restock for Elissa she applied toners and essences like she is giving a thoroughbred a bubble bath ! I Love love the BOJ ginseng serum sunscreen wow. My new fav . Haven't cracked into the round lab yet. I micro needled yesterday so still going easy. Oh Cay skin has lovely SPF lip glosses in pretty colors and are actually not nasty tasting. Great little sleeper brand.

Lip SPF is so so important! My dad is recovering from squamous cell carcinoma on his lip. In 3 weeks it went from looking like a cold sore to huge and dark like Marx Brothers mustache. Protect yourself and see your dermatologist!

I’d love if you do the same using the device with products in the evening. I’d also love if you have recommendations of products for sun/ dark spots. @@AliceintheRabbitHole I didn’t know what I should do. I use drmtgy products but couldn’t seem to figure out what exactly to use. I used their hydra boost and their peptide night cream along with medicube collagen jelly. I kinda felt like I needed more, so I’ve added korres Santorini’s grape skin drink and skipped the night peptide cream but this oil was much thinner than I thought would be. I saw your video about Tirtir milk toner light and when I ordered this , I ordered their serum and collagen eye cream as well as the Mary&may tranexamic acid glutathione eye cream. Definitely dark circles and puffy around the eyes ( which I didn’t know about the medicube eye device but that’s maybe a future purchase, way in future). I have combo skin that is becoming more dry as I get older but the texture and dark spots are really a concern. Thanks for taking an interest ☺️ Also, drmtgy has a spf lip product but haven’t tried it yet.

Ah so kind of the device on top of all of it? I think that maybe what you could try is this: bump the device up in your routine so it can follow specific products. That way, you get a better understanding of how your skin is responding to each individual product. It’s like the device speeds up results from each product so you know its strengths/weaknesses faster! Example: since you mention the SOS serum, and I’ve been using that one myself, I notice that pairing that with the booster H is upping my hydration (similarly to the peptide serums; makes sense with the polyglutamic acid), but I’m feeling it’s weaker than I hoped in anti-irritation aspects (not beating out manyo there lol!) That’s the best suggestion I have now as it sounds like you do have products - I bet you have some good options, just gotta figure out what’s best for your needs! Hope that is still helpful?

A little scared to do too much all at once with this thing. I’m glad, though it seems like I’m on the right path. One question, do you apply retinol after this devise step? And then a moisturizer after that? The medicube jelly seems quite thick, kinda of reminds me of the slugging concept to lock moisture in. Not sure if I use retinal product after will be effective 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi Alice, I was wondering, why do you like Axis-Y eye cream so much, is it because of the peptides? I ordered the thank you farmer toner, do you think it is focused on dry skin? Besides, I very much agree that it is necessary to protect your lips from the sun, because I developed hyperpigmentation on my lips that I can no longer reverse. Yes I think it’s partially the peptides which I have a long running history of doing great with. They hydrate without irritation, and quite possibly do much more (time -and more research- will tell!) I would say the Rice toner is verrrry similar to the one from I’m From, but typically priced much better. Probably for all skin types though it might be too much for oily skin during the day? And for the lashes, I’ve found Glamnetic to be the best for multi-day wear (KISS has a good option but the lashes don’t stay on quite as long with it). For daily wear, I’ve used Duo for years, but I have to admit I’ve been impressed with a J-Beauty brand I bought on yesstyle (Miche Bloomin). The prices compare here in the U.S., but worth mentioning if they don’t internationally! Hope you stay warm! 🥰

Hey Alice! :) Have you seen a new launched toner from the Ordinary with 30% fermented ingredients? I would really love to hear your opinion how that compares with k beauty toners in terms of strenght and what that 30% actually means..:) Also, Geek and Gorgeous launched the peptide serum but I am disappointed since they combined percentage of MAtrixyl (Matrixyl 3000 and Synthe 6) is 5% when ordinary has 10% and I really wanted to replace TO with something, but the research on Matrixyk was done on 9% Matrixyl 3000 and 2% Synthe, so I dont understand why they formulated it with the lower percentage. Honestly only TO and TImeless has decent peptide percentage, and then when it comes to Niacinamide they all do it 10% , i dont get it:D Anyhow would love your opinion on both the new launches, even if it's theoretical!:))

I have been using Paula's Choice lip screen consistently for many years. SPF 50. People have commented quite a few times about how my lips still have so much color to them. I have to think it is the lipscreen.

Also I use the Nivea Japan Deep Moisture spf lip balms (shout out Tina Tinaka Harris ✌🏽) and I haven’t noticed an unpleasant taste or smell, and I use the unscented varieties!

Well, the most important part of sunscreen application is getting it applied in an even layer So I think it might work over a lip stain if it does dry down, but I personally wouldn’t try it over a lip gloss Hope that helps!

I know black girl sunscreen has a SPF 50 gloss and I recently heard elf is coming out with a gloss with SPF 25. But tbh I just use my regular SPF on my lips when I first apply, and/or I use sunscreen sticks on my lips.

I will not use a lip balm under 50 SPF. Paulas Choice have a really good one but it is pricey. It works and it doesn't smell or taste like sunscreen :).

Yes to lip SPFs. Dr Dray's been complaining about the one she liked from Vanicream disappearing. Enjoyed that video from Odile Monod. She always has interesting videos. I like the tip about applying the peptide products and then topping with humectant rich serum to use with a device. Now off to check out the medipeel power aqua (oh, it has astaxanthin).

Aaaaaaaargh, I wish I could use devices! I mean, I guess I could wait for the days where I change both my medical devices (Insulin pump and CGM), but the days when I change both at the same time are far between. I don't think I'd be able to justify the price on something I'd use maybe twice per month? For those weirdos like me who love science and electronics, it's because the blue tooth and general battery signals in my medical shtuff is interrupted by most wavelengths that cosmetic devices use, and it deactivates them. Fun times! When I did aesthetics for a living, I always had to make sure my clients were wearing medical devices. Huzzah for the all-important disclaimer paperwork! I do find it odd that Medicube doesn't have any medical disclaimers on their site that I could easily find. They might want to fix that.

I'm just thankful that my medical equipment providers were able to overnight ship a new pump to me when it happened at a product demo in aesthetics school. And I can tell you this: the equipment pro that was using the device on me will most likely never forget to check if another client has similar devices!

Does anyone not just buy glycerin from the chemist and put a small amount in a spray bottle with water?? It only costs around £6 but only make enough for one day because it’s got no preservatives in it. You can mix it into anything, serum, facial spray etc.
