Adding motion control aim was good, adding motion control to beat enemies or FLIP FUCKING SWITCHES is bad. Let me press a to flip the switch... CoD 3 suffered from the same thing. It demoted Samus to nothing more than a cameo at best. And also, its multiplayer-eccentric gameplay. Metroid has always been a singleplayer adventure (with the exception of Hunters, but at least Samus played a large role in that). The multiplayer portion is a bonus treat at best. Also, critics and users alike are NOT happy with it judging by the ratings.

Using Metroid 2 logic, I used normal bombs to kill the queen my first playthrough and she just kinda went poof. I remember thinking "wow that was anticlimactic." Then after getting 100% I beat her again and used the Power Bombs and HOLY SHIT THE GORE. Far more epic, honestly that should have been the default way to kill her.....

Twisted Insurrection, a standalone mod for Command and Conquer, did exactly that to EA in the credits - they blatantly stated that their mod hopefully made up for what the company did to the now-dead franchise. The armored Metroids (Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, Omega) are more evolved versions of the normal Metroids. No mean to be offensive, but you'd know if you played the original 2nd game.

Now, I don't know much about how copy right laws work, but I've heard if a company does not pursue legal action like this, they lose the rights to the property. In other words, if they didn't have it removed, it could spawn problems later down the road with copyrights. However, the real evidence to me that The N might be trying to cut them some slack is that this project has been in development for over a decade and they didn't do anything about it until now, AFTER its completion and AFTER it's spread to torrent. That applies to all enemies that can be frozen, actually. The Ice Beam is pretty much the last power-up you get in the game. You already have the likes of the Space Jump, Screw Attack and Spider Ball, so there's no need to create frozen platforms.

Well the final stretch was meant to be straightforward and Doc didn't feel the need to overcomplicate it. Between the new Area 5 and the added secret Area landing site, there was enough extra content in the main flow of the game that Omega Nest and Cloning Lab were kept mostly intact just to streamline the end sequence.

This game is so good in my eyes is way better than fusion and dread. I also played the original in a GB emulator and was able to get few colors with the super game boy settings totally recommend it even in 2022 since both games are different experiences even when they tell the same story.

No. This is a fanmade remake of metroid 2, with an engine similar to that of metroid zero mission, with Gameboy advance style sprites and visuals. It was finished in 2016, and although Nintendo tried to cancel it and make it unavailable, it’s still easily avaliable for download on computers even today. The process to download is quick, easy, and it runs on most PC’s. You can even connect a controller for the full experience, usually a playstation or xbox controller, without needing to relearn everything using the keyboard. I would recommend it, theres lots of detail and bonus lore that was made to make the story feel even better, and theres even new areas not in the original Metroid 2. Also, Nintendo made their own metroid 2 remake in 2017 for the 3ds. It uses modern visuals, but other than that it’s viewed as less faithful to the original game, with the calm, reflective walk to the ship with the final, baby metroid being replaced with lots of enemies and an extra boss fight. I can’t personally give my full opinion on it, since I haven’t played it, but take it for what you will.

LOL for some reason in my version of the game she was only vulnerable to ball bombs. I used the charge beam and switched to ball mode to drop five bombs at once right before she charged me with her head. It was actually very fun, and didn't take long to kill her.

i really wish i could just like.. combine aspects of this with samus returns' metroid queen fight for the definitive fight as i love the remixed music here(really don't get why samus returns was so reluctant to remix any of the sparse selection of themes from the original and only did the surface theme and larva theme) and visuals but the fight plays out a bit too closely to the original in terms of the queen's limited and very predictable attacks whilst in samus returns though i was dissapointed by the music and how the nest leading up to them wasn't as eerily desolate as the original I loved how much they played with the original fight's concepts to deliver a truly challenging and climactic feeling fight.

So this remake was my first time playing metroid 2 so I had no idea what to do in boss fights for the most part. When it came to the queen I thought she was immune to almost everything and I killed her using only bombs. It was actually a lot of fun playing tag in morph ball form whenever she attacked. I would recommend this method for anyone who wants more challenge.

They really changed a lot of textures from there to now
