MHW Iceborne [PC]: Fatalis - 15'10"18 - Hunting Horn

This is hands down the hardest fight in Iceborne. Ever since my first clear (23) minutes, I wanted to learn the fight a bit more. This is not perfect but it's good enough. The Fatalis HH is a top weapon and you should make sure to get it !

Do note that speedrunning isn't comfy. They spend a ton of time studying how to approach a monster's moveset, then use do-or-die builds and reset their runs dozens of times as they get carted in the hopes of setting a PB or WR. Slotting more durability in regular play is still important. You'll get wins a lot faster than you would if you were built like a glass cannon who keeps failing the mission. Looking at all you, SOS people who come in with speedrun builds then cart my team to failure.

What build do you recommend for a first kill with Hunting Horn? The classic blast/Master's touch, full element or a combination of the two?

A dragon set with part breaker

Raw is the way for this fight. The head has a good dragon weakness but you cannot focus it 100% of the time. Before I got this gear, I went with a master touch set (3pcteo/2pc raging brachy). I had a shatterhorn. Health boost 3 is honestly very important in this fight. I also had 3 partbreak + divine blessing combo deco. If you plan on using moxie, make sure that you have 20 fire res. That way if it procs on a fire move, you won't get killed by the fire blight. You can eat for an elemental resistance meal for that.

Fatalis 4 piece setbonus gives +100 hp/stamina and doesn't stack with health boost and food hp buffs. So here he has 200 hp and stamina

You can queue 2 notes during the flourish (double swing). I have a mod that changes the color of my notes but if you pay attention, my glows twice here. During the 1st swing and the second swing.
