I have a Kraton 6s I recently purchased an arms front and rear with steering blocks . The problem I have now is my cv shaft is not going all the way through the block it’s too short I can’t get the pin hole to line up in fact I can’t even see the pin hole from the front , the steering blocks were advertised for Kraton 6s and outcasts why won’t they work. Be asking everyone I can how can I fix this with the right part without spending money on another one that may not work . If I can get the cv drive shaft combo I would get it in a heartbeat can anybody help me out here

Very nice! Congrats on the Kraton, it's certainly a beastly r/c. For batteries, it's most common to use one 6S battery, but you can use two 3S batteries to equal the same voltage. There are tons of battery packs that will fit, but we use this Gens Ace 6S battery with 6800mAh capacity: www.amainhobbies.com/gens-ace-bashing-pro-6s-lipo-battery-pack-120c-22.2v-6800mah-gea68006s12e5/p1331198 -Brett

@AMain_Hobbies2 жыл бұрын
@@noahhiser Dang, that didn't take long! For your next servo, try to buy the most torque you can, with a bare minimum of 300 oz-in, but ideally around 500 oz-in. A good servo will outlast the truck and can be used in future vehicles, so they're worthy investments. Sounds like you're enjoying the truck other than that. -Brett

PRO TIP: Do you ever go to the local park and find pedestrians down voting your fun time? Install some LED lights on your shell and you can run at dusk / night when no one is around. Side benefit you can see your cars orientation and control it from huge distances during the day too. Cheap, simple mod that opens up huge opportunities to run when no one is around. Always be mindful of your surroundings and never run at night on unfamiliar ground.

Thanks for the video! Funnily enough, I've only today found out that an adjustable servo saver hub from Arrma is a thing! They never mentioned it anywhere... Definitely picking one up. Also, Arrma makes heatsink that fits the BLX motors (or any other 40mm diameter motor for that matter) that will make the fan even more efficient. Moreover, when installed it will reduce the gap between motor and chassis, or even completely fill it in, thus adding extra needed support for the motor so you don't rip it off the mount on a particularly hard landing.

For Diff fluid why 1M in front middle and 500k in rear? I was thinking 1M rear and middle and 500K in front as those are the steering components so need a bit more variable rotation. Or is my thought process wrong?
@AMain_Hobbies2 жыл бұрын
No, that's a good idea to try, we've just never tried it. Whichever end is lighter will be more free and diff easier. Most race 1/8 buggies have the rear end a little lighter to square up and find traction, so that was our thinking. The 1M in the front definitely doesn't do any favors for the steering though. I'm interested to hear how it works out; if you give it a try, let us know the results. -Brett

I love the backflips, but the copperheads are so good, hard to justify when what she really needs is that servo. I run the Savox SB-2273SGP (388oz-in) with metal arms and the Hot Racing Servo Mount. Next, If you haven't ever opened up your diffs make that your next priority. Many rebuild videos to be found. you can buy the parts or buy pre-built diff. I recommend learning how to rebuild and more importantly, shim your own diffs with million weight fluid. these two changes will transform your cars performance.

Hey how tight should the servo hub be I got the one you twist how tight should I get it
@AMain_Hobbies10 ай бұрын
I usually twist them down very tight with heavier 1/8 vehicles. Once you start driving, you'll get a feel for its setting by how much the steering holds, or if it gives out, and then adjust to where you like it. You don't want the servo saver to "give" during normal driving because that will zap steering performance. Instead, you want it set just so it gives under quick, hard hits. -Brett
@AMain_Hobbies10 ай бұрын
Also, with the stock servo, or any low-torque servos, it's a good idea to set the servo saver looser as a safety cushion, whereas high-torque aftermarket servos are typically strong enough to operate a tight servo saver. Hope that helps. -Brett

If you're just starting out you may not notice the difference in the fluids, which wouldn't be too much per se, it's just a difference in the 'feel' of the truck, in how it delivers power and enters and then exits a turn.
