Thatʻs why she feels so attached to Fran, tremendous Guilt for what happened to her parents. I love throughout the LN and WN series her way of protecting Fran is not going easy on her and having her be that wall that Fran needs to get through in order to be one of the strongest. Amandaʻs actually really strong when she gets serious, the first tournament arc was really good. Loved how it didnʻt go the typical OP isekai route.

Amanda does not act like this in the light novel. Her devotion to protecting children is portrayed much more earnestly there, and she was not played for fan service either (her illustrations do not emphasize her bust and Teacher’s narration never draws explicit attention to it). I haven’t read the manga but have seen a few of Amanda’s illustrations from there, which does match her over-sexualized design in the animé, so I can only assume that this change to her character is rooted in the manga.
