As someone who hasn't even reached affiliate status on Twitch (meaning subs aren't a thing for me yet) and is doing it for fun I still have a schedule - 6 days a week 3 hours each. If you want to build a following having a regularly stream time/upload is important, it helps build trust with an audience and means they might end up scheduling you into their day, maximising their view time.
