Amanda was a very good face for the club and the fans liked her - she had the likeability factor didn’t she. According to sky the PIF are buying the extra 6% of shares which could be worth £50m which is a nice return for Amanda and her husband. Looks to me like the club is in good hands with a good structure and they’ve left it in a good place to move forward.

I’m only a very recent fan of football in general. After watching the series on Prime, Amanda was the reason I started following NUFC. Just seeing how MUCH she cared about the club, the boys and the fans really made me feel that this is a community, more than a football club. It’s something that you rarely see from owners of any company. I’m sure this is one of her toughest decisions she’s ever made, but we’re so much better for just having Amanda standing and fighting for NUFC.

When the takeover happened Amanda and con took on directorships of all Newcastle boards and subsidiary companies they have now got an executive team in place so they are withdrawing from the subsidiaries but will remain on the main board

The only surprise for me is she lasted 3 years. She was nearly declared bankrupt a few months the ago over an outstanding £3.8m she owed so how did anyone expect her to continue paying 6% of what the ownership are continuing to put into the club? She did well and probably will walk away with a big profit on her initial 10%

Amanda has Huntingtons disease its horrific lost alot of family to this disease this could well have a part in it . Irs a killer she will get very unwell and sign may have started and once it does it wont get better . Least stress as possible helps to prolong so guess running nufc is a no no to me . I thank her fir what she has done n one day she may have a statue.

Absolutely gutted that you have both left but please know that you will both loved here and welcome to visit us anytime you like. Thanks for everything. Paul. At a guess I think they were here to stabilise the club and set up a plan to run the club from there. We have made progress a lot quicker than expected. Amanda and her husband have other interests that may be suffering from the amount. There is also another possible reason that you will understand better than me as although Parkinson's and Huntington's are different diseasesthey are similar in that they are progressive and are incurable. Nine years ago, Amanda was diagnosed with a genetic disease Huntington's which is a progressive breakdown of brain cells. I am certain that they have put in place during their time here to keep the club on its current upward course. Darren Eales as CEO would be hard to better likes to communicate with the fans just like Amanda. She has also brought top men in their different fields to support him and I think the final piece of the jigsaw was Paul Mitchell. I sincerely hope they are invited to the first game of the season and that Wor flags puts on a special farewell for them. I am sorry I missed the live show but when I saw the news on the Chronicle I looked for TTR straight away. Daily nominations filled and sent as normal.

Paul, all fans will be gutted that they are leaving but on a positive note we have got world class operators in senior positions ( Eales, Silverstone, Mitchell etc ) to run our club, they are experts in their relative fields who will do things right, to put things into perspective, think back to the muppets Ashley and Charnley running the club,

The one concern that I've had for some time is that the Saudis could sell the club and buy one of the big club brands who have money coming in which would allow the Saudis to spend big. FFP has put back their plans. I really hope that I am wrong about this. I could not stand having an Ashley mk 2.

Some very rough maths here but if the acquisition was 300m and Amanda had 6% that's 18m. If PIF now reckon the club is worth 1bn then 6% of that is 60m. Pretty much what we were reported to be willing to pay for olise. Coincidence?

Hearts rule heads but she had to go… Her business conduct would’ve been a big turn off for the PIF who would have viewed her as a risk. Amanda is a deal broker. She will have made a tidy profit as a result of her time and financial investment. Very well done to her but she was always likely to take her remaining profit(she's already liquidated part of her Newcastle holdings) and use it for other deals. I'm very grateful for all she has done for the club and wish her all the best for the future. I'm curious how long the Reubens wait to follow. There’s something bigger coming down the line! Poor financial planning led to the sale of two very good young players in Anderson and Minteh , why was that allowed to happen? That wasn’t good business; it was pure financial panic ! I wonder how Eddie Howe felt about that?Apparently she wasn’t happy with the Mitchell appointment. The position of Eddie Howe looks a little tenuous as Amanda was always his champion- England could come calling very soon. I believe PIF will look at bigger fish, in the near future to invest in so they can see a bigger return for their money . Unfortunately we’ll do well to hang onto top level players while we’re playing financial catch up with the “cartel clubs” and are out of Europe! Yes I’m sounding pessimistic but I’m also a realist who has supported this club for 60 plus years. We need to wake up and smell the coffee.
