My first ever live match was watching Bournemouth v Walsall in the mid 90's when Eddie played. Would have been crazy to think he'd end up managing the club I support, but so glad that's the case. He comes across as a very humble, reflective and introspective guy, but one who will work as hard as possible to improve his players and therefore the team. Over the moon we have him.

Watched Minus17 earlier and you can instantly see from that he has a unique internal wisdom and inspiration to get the best out of a situation. It all makes sense, from how he navigated our flirtation with relegation (I.e. by signing characters like Trippier and Burn) to other acquisitions, off-the-field morale boosting activities etc. I really hope he’a the foundation on which our club develops for many a decade to come, much like Man United with Alex Ferguson.

He’s mentioned on more than a few occasions that even the media teams at Newcastle are part of the club and the huge pushes forward we’re making. He’s not just a phenomenal coach and a great tactician, he’s a manager of personalities in the mould of Sir Bobby and the dedication to the job, the responsibilities he takes on and his attitude towards everyone connected with the team and the club is exemplary. Every week when he’s asked about some amazing individual performances, after giving well deserved praise to those in question, he talks about everyone else. No one is left out. Constantly reminding the boys that stand out players couldn’t be who they are or do the things they do without being surrounded by the support of fantastic teammates. His level of desire and his relentless pursuit of improvement after Bournemouth is exceptional and why I feel managers like Gerrard, lampard and other high level players will struggle at the top of the game in management, because it clearly just isn't a job or a role to someone like Howe, regardless of who the greats have worked under or how good they may be, it's been proven over decades it's the small details and his mission to conquer this is very impressive

Absolutely fantastic watch! So proud that he's our manager,by far the closest person we've had to a manager since Sir Bobby! In Eddie we trust! ⚫⚪

Buzzing to watch this. Eddie is the man, always says the right things and is so meticulous in everything he does. The Best manager we’ve had, in my opinion and my lifetime since Sir Bobby! Can’t wait to see where he has us in a couple of seasons time

I always thought it was incredibly disrespectful to him when people insinuated he could only do a job for a "couple of years" until they become too big for him and have to get someone like conte to push them to the next level 😂 absolutely laughable.

@@matt-ir1xq yeah a lot thought he was just to “fill in the gap” and “stabilise us” tbh I knew he was a decent manager but never knew he was this good, and taking that year away from managing has clearly helped. Nothing stopping him from becoming the so called “elite” manager. He has the time now, and he’ll have the resources to show what he can really do! And I can’t wait to watch every step of the journey

So many wrote him off when he first appointed as Newcastle manager. Now Newcastle are flying under him, I'd say 2 years ahead of time. Respect to him. Underrated manager. Great podcast btw. Mikel Arteta up next on the pod

He's got such a refreshing approach to top flight management. He's aware of his flaws, and happily seeks help to improve upon them. Doesn't seem to have any negative ego (and you DO need and ego to succeed at the highest level of pretty much anything). Absolute props to the bloke

Eddie howe embraced Newcastle when we were at our lowest, achieved something no other manager has done in survival when not winning in the first 14 games, because of that us Newcastle supporters wont ever forget that no matter what happens in the future. All we ask is he makes each day his masterpiece and in return no fans anywhere will support him, cheer him and shout his name louder than us. If he were to read this comment I would ask him to pay little attention to what the media says we expect, they have always said we are too demanding when in reality all we ask is for a team that tries to win, we have never demanded a club that does. We are Eddie's black and white army.

Massive fan of Eddie Howe, very happy for him and Newcastle United and their fans. They're finally on an upward trajectory and he's a huge reason for that. This was the best podcast I've seen so far.

Loved this! Eddie is a top coach and his year out for self development, visiting other sports teams and organising his reference points, shows a developing coach/manager that wants the best for the people around him 😊👍

As a Spurs fan, I see in this managerial appointment the destiny the Geordies have dreamt about for years becoming a reality. This guy is so obviously top drawer it is a deep fall in quality to listen to pundits talking about the game. After the years of pain at St James, Newcastle deserves Eddie Howe and Eddie Howe deserves Newcastle. You guys have such good times in front of you because it seems to me you will get honesty, you will get style and you will get loyalty. Forget the money, forget the trophies, what you have bought here is the spirit which the Newcastle fans have been protecting being manifested on the pitch.

I remember a few years back I was watching some training sessions on Bournemouths youtube channel (I think because Arsenal were linked with Eddie), and I'll never forget the intensity of them and how demanding it looked. Looked enjoyable too.

I am so glad I stumbled upon this channel. I like the format and the deep emphaty you guys display in how you ask questions, especially your follow-ups. I have been blown away by what he has achieved at NUFC, which is well-deserved. Howe comes across as humble, hard-working, very intelligent, considered, emphatic. I like the fact that he focuses on individual and helps them to show up better for their team.

Yes Ive played football but my reach out today was to improve my professional life inside the printing industry so it just goes to show Eddie reached out to areas and people outside his comfort zone. What a great interview. He's such an excellent professional who really understands the importance of understanding people on an emotional level in order to produce the best for them and your team. This also gives me confidence that we won't lose him to the England job because I don't feel that sort of setup would afford him the required time with the team working together to generate the positivity and productivity that he does with a regular team.
