I had Val winning at least 3 rounds, and arguably 4. Hell even in the 5th round when she was taken down, she's the only one that landed anything there. Nunes did absolutely nothing with that takedown other than get punched in the face. Nunes pointed out a decision by "landing" more because of leg kicks that imposed absolutely no damage whatsoever. The blood on Val was just bone hitting bone. One of the definitions of "effective striking" is "cumulative impact landed from strikes". Val without question had more impact. Judges got it wrong.

Now I do think Valentina did more damage, but most is a bit of a stretch (I break it down as 60% Valentina 40% Amanda of total damage inflicted). Also Amanda got two takedowns and got back control at one point to Valentina’s 0 takedowns and no back control. So how did Valentina dominate her? I think Valentina won, but the facts support and my eyes tell me that Valentina won that fight narrowly, but a draw is also not unreasonable. But domination by Valentina is the last thing I would conclude given the evidence.

This is just another example of why these fights should be submission only. You either force your opponent to submit or you get the Ref to stop the fight. Now a below average out of shape guy??? Sure. Remember that a guy who is the same height and weight as them will be MUCH stronger, quicker and aggressive. There's moments in women's MMA when I see openings that it takes them just a millisecond longer to see and exploit. With men, you do that and you pay the price INSTANTLY. Naw man.
