This little girl is amazing! My daughter went to her first competitions(5 tap solo) and I am looking at Amanda thinking "wow if my daughter could dance that well at 12 I would be impressed" what a wonderful dancer! she needs to keep tapping! That is her thing definately! what I see in competitions and even within studios is that people want to knock down the girls. Why can't everyone just be nice and get along and support ALL of the little girls out there dancing thier hearts out!

great stage presence and outstanding technique! Once again, amazing job, Amanda. You really inspire me. I can pretty much guarantee that in 10 years I will see your name in lights. Keep it up (:

Wow girl, you are truly a dancer at heart! Keep it up! For all of you with the issue over the costume - dance is an industry, not just an art. Its extremely vital that a judge be able to see the lines of your body because that does matter. Yes, she could wear a dress and still have all of her lines seen but its absolutely normal for a dancer at her age to wear something like this. Its just part of the dance industry - if you dont like it then dont dance.

She is very good at tap, I hope that she sticks with it. Lately there are so many young girls that can only do lyrical and jazz styles it's great to see this! I hope that she sticks to tap cuz she could be really amazing in the future.

Thanks so much - i feel she is strongest in tap, that was all she did for the first 2 years. But unfortunately, comps dont appreciate as much at age 9...but she wants to keep it -- so we do ;)

u must be proud she has talent and she is really cute i take tap and jazz and i am going to try ballet next year.

Vanessa...my daughther competes (she's thirteen), and like yours, her greatest gift, seems to be her tapping. She always seems to place in the Overall top, but we also found out that some competitions aren't into tap as much as others! Never let Amanda quit though, she has the gift!!!

ok for everyone who keeps talking about innapropriate costumes, you can't talk until you are up there. I was a dancer for 15 years and wearing all that makeup, dancing your heart out and having lights on you, what do u expect us to wear? shes actually quite covered and shes wicked so leave it at that!

i did contortion when i was younger and it is hard to sit and stand with a straight back i find, why would it be bad for dance??? do you get like points deducted in competition???
@tuesdayella10117 жыл бұрын
I don't know. I've only been to one competion. But like good posture is a thing you work on in ballet and stuff, so it's pretty inportent.

I am an experienced dancer myself. I know a lot has changed since I was her age (over 10 years now), but you can definitely cover yourself. In dance class at that age, you have to wear a leotard that covers your stomach and isn't revealing. You can still see the movement and body lines. I just wouldn't want my child, at her age, dressing like that because I think it sends the wrong message. It just instills in your children that it is okay to wear things like that out in public.

just because you get platinum doesn't mean you REALLY know what you're talking about, it means ur good on stage...
@D110389S17 жыл бұрын
wow, that was unreal, ive been tapping my whole friggen life, and my technique at 17 is almost...almost as good as hers at...8? shes 8 right...yeah, p.s to pple who are critiquing an 8 year old on youtube. um get a life? yeah...and if its not tap i wanna know what the hell you would call it, you can do pirouettes in tap, there no rule saying otherwise, its a dance move, not specifically a jazz or ballet move, its literally a dance moved, and can be used for all forms of dance.

im the same age as her right now and im on the same level of tap .but not lyrical and jazz lol :)

It's a posture disorder that they recognize as correctable from exercises - but Amanda can't remember to do it while she is dancing.
@roxynikko217 жыл бұрын
you guys are just mad cause you cant do that! I love it and she's adorable, hey just think she could be on the streets doing drugs or hanging out with the wrong crowds. I love the costume by the way.
@koconutpinksoda17 жыл бұрын
amanda is so talented.. i just don't personally think 7/8 y.o's should always be wearing such small & revealing costume like that. She always is sticking out her chest, i would understand a teenager maybe doing that, but she is so young. she has all the time in the world to do that when she is older. dont get me wrong, she is amazing, i just dont understand why all the little girls are wearing these costumes so soon in life. but overall great work!

I have one question for you... What do you want tap to be? you don't put the same stuff in tap as you do in jazz. and just because she's wearing a cropped costume doesn't mean jack... basicly every other costume at competition is cropped... atleast shes wearing pants. get and eye opener, go to a competition.
@VanessaOcampo17 жыл бұрын
