Amanda, we see your value and love you for it! I discovered you on Insecure and have followed you since then (I'm a proud owner of a "Not Today Not the One" T-Shirt😂). You definitely deserve to be in those spaces but whether you're there are not, we love you and all you stand for! ❤️

I have experience similar behavior from fellow Black people. At first, I found it bothersome but now I just I realize certain people are not my people (I do interact with Black folks I click with). Like the saying goes not all your skinfolks are your kinfolks. You are doing wonderful and expanding into new amazing spaces.

🤔I mean at this point, why go? They’ve already shown their feelings about you. I would think it would be more important to be recognized by the people who support you. We (Black people) can get very flaky when we are controlled by white dollars. Sometimes we feel forced to turn on our own to keep in good graces. That’s just us not knowing our worth. LMS”

People who uphold the system don't like truth tellers. We will always have Black people and other POC, especially in influential positions, who will align with W supremacy and the 1% to maintain their position, privilege and uphold the status quo at the expense of everyone else. Not all skinfolk r kinfolk. They whether stay silent and uphold the system then do what's right. #statusquo

IMO, I think Amanda has valid points and there's nothing wrong with wanting that validation and appreciation by your peers, by your community, and by media platforms like BET, Essence, etc... BUT there are many, many stories and experiences of Amanda's rudeness, nastiness, and disdain that can't be ignored. Several things can be true at once. I think people within the industry (specifically Black Hollywood) may have their reasons as to why they don't provide Amanda the same access, opportunities, or regard as they once did. I think moving away from the industry, as she stated, is a poignant take. It may be time to move on. The people that gon' rock with her, are gon' rock regardless! And I hope she does some self reflection cuz everybody ain't wrong. There are valid critiques on how she moves. She has to take some accountability.

@@TheAmandaSeales IMO, I think that you should reflect on the people you've encountered along your personal journey (not just in Hollywood), instead of asking me to provide proof of a public topic. As I stated before, several things can be true at once - you deserve to be validated and appreciated in the spaces that you've contributed to and worked hard to develop/cultivate, AND you should consider emotionally healing from the disdain, rejection, and grief of not being validated during this time (and possibly other times) in your career, AND you should be accountable for harm you've caused. We're imperfect beings; deal with your stuff and move along.

Because we do not value ourselves. They brought in hip hop to bring in more young people. Then, it turned against them, it became messy because the type pf music of the 90's, 80, 70, is not creating rwvenue anymore because life is life, but this new breed of artists are weak in life, song, patience, love and does not have that chucrh background, meaning anointing.

But…if the industry is what you describe it to be, why do you care to be validated by it? Amanda needs to touch grass. It’s giving ego. Does she do this for the fame or nah? And why is she acting like ALL black people go to these events🙄 I think Amanda is feeling super left out and it’s hitting her that she’s no longer apart of the industry that she has repeatedly declared that she can’t stand🤔

Some people just don't like grifters who rant about the injustice of not receiving awards and recognition for making content about real activism, while they also have the nerve to compare themselves with Angela Davis, Malcolm X, Kwame Ture, and MLK. It's parasitic, and as a former fan, I started noticing red flags when you started the interview with Mansour Shouman overacting how speechless and moved you were. It was disrespectful, and childish, and then the rest started to make sense. The bridgeburning, the badmouthing everyone in your past, the complaining about not receiving activism awards, the questioning people's qualifications and education whenever you'd be questioned or doubted, and a whole lot of things that indicate your issues are pathological. Not a bad person, just that narcissistic. Hopefully you get help, awards, or whatever calms you down sooner and more effectively.
