Amanda Seales Done Protecting Issa Rae & Talks About Issa Not Empowering Women
Shannon Sharpe: I had Lil Rel and he says that Issa, most of her set is with women; camera people, etc, etc. And that she's very empowering to women.
Amanda Seales: I disagree. She wasn't empowering to me. She didn't feel like I deserved to be protected... I have still always protected her because I felt like it is my responsibility to do so, but I realize now it is not.

Always remember the story with Oprah Winfrey and Whoppi Goldberg. For years they didn't speak. They happened to be at the same function. Whoppi went and sought Oprah out at the event and Whoopi asked her, "Did I do something to you, did I say something that offended you?" Oprah was shocked and said to Whoppi, " No, I was told you had a problem with ME!" They are friends now and a lesson was learnt. Put rumors aside and speak to the person directly.

Amanda said something key , she said when you’re sure of yourself people feel small and have issues with you. I never understood why trouble seemed to always find me even when I stayed to myself. People do not like when you do not need or seek validation and find contentment in who God made you to be. I wish I could tell her I see her and how much we value her in our community. She’s too real for the community she is in💛

Calling someone a Revolutionary Nikka is crazy…too opinionated and set on how the world should work…wanting to hang out at a party where someone CLEARLY did not want you there and you used other people to try and weezle your way through then get mad when they chest bump you to leave…feeling hurt and rejected is a choice, that whole experience is her choice..then coming on a show to talk about it and admit she cried and people were not moved…sadly pathetic but she has chosen that experience…there is genuine love in the Universe for her but she flocks towards people that will never like her…she needs a life coach to remove her from being addicted to this victimhood mentally. All those characters she is talking about are so petty…the host of the show is clearly bored and struggling to engage in the substance of her pettiness…she needs psychotherapy and a more open mind. Shay this was an embarrassment after the heavy hitters you had…she added nothing to our lives. People don’t like her because she is lost…an ungrounded immature adult.

Maybe they made amends but I wouldn't consider her a friend. An, associate, maybe. She's seems to me to be one of those type 'friends'. And, by that, I mean 'iffy'. However, I've never seen her as actually nice. But, then again, I don't really know her. I peeped a bit of her demeanor during a group interview for a movie she was in, and I kinda got snooty vibes from her. I think many people just assume people like her are nice.

Because she doesn't have to. Amanda is the one with the problem. Practically the whole cast of Immature didn't like Amanda. There is too much drama with Amanda and it's exhausting. I wouldn't want to be bothered with her either. It's not Issa's fault for Amanda's disruptive behavior. There is a long list of her "misunderstandings"🙄

@@Kimmi-om2nv It sounds like YOU were on set with them 🤷🏽‍♀️ sounds like you’re jumping to conclusions and judging her in the same way. What’s the disruptive behavior you’re speaking of? If the leader doesn’t like someone and everyone else wants to keep their jobs, I don’t think it’ll be that hard to alienate them or distance yourself from that person. You should be able to see that there’s more than one way of seeing things.

I feel Amanda and her pain! Those specific individuals outcasting her are insecure, and jealous of her confidence, her strength! They don't like that you're proud, strong and secure in your stance. Your walk in life is a bold presence and a sense of keen self awareness! They're alway's watching you, wanting to take away your confidence. It's definitely the spirit of the devil. Rather than simply allow you to live your life and be great, they're threatened by your lifestyle, your demeanor and want to cause some form of calamity toward you, if you're naive enough to fester such negativity.

I think Issa was DEFINITELY in on the messinesses of that whole situation because she didn’t come to her defense, but kept emphasizing how she had nothing to do with it. I’m SO glad Amanda talked about it because I’ve always thought Issa should’ve done more, but now I’m thinking she intentionally allowed the drama to fester because Issa was on the same type of time her publicist was on.
