I thought about this as well, and I think it could be referring to her body atrophying. If she's kept in that state, all of her muscles would waste away, and body systems would be suppressed. She wouldn't be eating real food. I imagine that all could feel like rotting, just a body not doing any actual living.

I think Amanda's princess turned into a dragon story is foreshadowing the end. Sam is still alive. Rebecca's s body was used as the conduit for the demon, that's why it obeys her (sometimes). Sam will kill the demon and by doing so set Rebecca free. A tragic end to a destroyed family.

What you said about wooly makes perfect sense. The way how tortures amanda in that ritual circle and floating in background taunting her as shes screaming. He doesn't even warn Riley when the amanda monster shows up behind you, amanda does. Wooly especially doesn't like the fact amanda goes so far deep into that alleyway. He constantly tries to keep her from going any closer to the screen perhaps the gateway to her freedom. Out of all the tapes, that one seems to be the most awarering. The opossum calling out for Johanna, amanda becoming very close to reily, Wooly gas lighting the player for allowing the possom to do whatever he wants. Hes able to win back amandas trust by making reily look bad in not helping. Reily new if Jordan can somehow get free through this tape. Amanda would also follow. Wooly cant have that. Hope his ass gets trapped in that tape alone and his demon ends up getting dragged back to hell where it belongs

Honestly, best case scenario, Amanda/Rebecca has to die. She's like an anchor for everything. All the other children disappear but they need her alive. Also, if we free her, what kind of life could she live? She is a tortured, bed-ridden child in a adult body. I don't think she can recover mentally.

I like these games but one thing I can’t wrap my head around is how in one of the secret tapes in the 2nd game, Kate says on how they can’t say anything because “it’s a kids show, we will sound insane”. However, with the amount of kids missing after watching the show, that would lead their parents reporting that which will certainly be a link with how often it was and even confirmed Amanda will say and teach them something morally wrong plus with the disappearance of both Rebecca and Sam on top of that. I mean, that should ring enough alarms for Hameln to be under investigation of police. Maybe even the FBI. Makes me wonder how it is treated as this dark secret slowly being brought up again instead of Hameln being stopped years ago. Even if they did had an army of demonic monsters with them.

When rewatched the ending, I also find it difficult to see whether Joanne transformed or died..but from what I see she could be transforming 1. Joanne lose her balance and drop the tape onto the table (this is the main indicator as she could be transforming) 2. She said "ill right behind you" and "i promise" could indicate that we might see her again.. 3. Theres no Joanne blood on the monster (if Joanne body to be clawed or bitten) 4. Amanda demon could be coming and Joanne try to fight by transforming into one of the demon. 5. Joanne did feel sad about Kate but she also said Hameln needs to go down (she has a mission) and she can just "oh no the demon is here lets both go to the bunker" but she didnt come along is like a suicide thats weird.. I also tried to hear the monster growling and Joanne voice and theyre collapsing onto each other so this "transforming theory" also might be wrong 😭 what do you think?

I don’t really think Wooly is the main manipulator here. Him trying his hardest to be joyful, and trying to keep Amanda under control makes him “good”, we know that if Amanda gets very angry, it allows the monster Amanda to kill, but if Amanda is calmer and has control over herself, she can stop it from killing (Proven by her stopping it from killing Riley.) Wooly’s monster seems way worse than Amanda’s, so it would make sense if Wooly tried his absolute hardest to be unrealisticly happy to prevent it from ripping people to shreds very painfully, while keeping Amanda distracted on adventures, or just trying to make her happy but failing mostly, so that the monster isn’t allowed to kill.

@@Way_24 thanks, it just makes more sense to me then “Wooly is controlling Amanda and is working for Hameln.” I think Wooly is just a victim as well, trying to make this happy facade for him and Amanda to keep everything under control. Or else the monsters will get to do what they desire. Also I forgot to mention another huge point, in the tape Everything Rots, Amanda makes Wooly vanish just to make you agree with her, then you shortly die after. If you say no while Wooly is there, she is angry and kills you. Amanda either getting really angry or breaking the script to say her real thoughts cause her to lose control over the monster.

I think Wooly is someone that worked for Hameln and someone Amanda used to trust in the human world but Wooly lured her into the show and he somehow got stuck as well, turning him into one of the entities. Now that is why Amanda has so much hate towards him but he goes along with the show thinking if he does his best by controlling Amanda and luring the kids, he will be able to be released from the show by Hameln, but realizing that he wont, he got a demon form. Thats why Amanda said that he cant trust him. And if you go into Google translate if you put Wooly and translate it to Aymara you get “Wooly satänwa.” Kinda sus since they’re making Amanda say things to so with demons and that has satan in it. Probably a stupid theory but its something i’ve thought about.

I'm thinking similarly, that Wooly was someone within Hameln that was initially trustworthy to Rebecca. Once the truth started to come out, I'd imagine Wooly's human counterpart may have started to change their position and defend Amanada, but ultimately became part of the tapes to deal with him. Even if he had the best of intentions, Amanda no longer trusting him would make sense just from being associated with Hameln and knowing they were taking so many big risks.

this is what i personally think should happen. first riley meets kate then riley meets sam. riley watches the tape that we got at the end of the second game. After that you get all the tapea and go into the bunker. Riley destroys 90% of the tapes with one remaining. Then wooly and amanda go after riley and sam sacrifices himself to save kate and riley

I don’t wonna make Wooly innocent but the company or that so called meatman forces Rebecca to follow her Amanda script, so they are doing the same with Wooly. Amanda and her monster are confirmed not to be both the same person, so could be the same thing with the Wooly monster. Weird that Joanne mentioned that she promises Riley to be right behind her as she runs away not knowing she would be killed.

The thing that never sold the "possum is Jordan" to me is... Why does he get a special form while every other trapped soul ends up as a tree or a toilet or a barn with eyes? Wouldn't it make more sense narratively that someone close to Rebecca gets a special significant form? Plus, Amanda doesn't recognize the possum while Jordan's been trapped for YEARS. you're trying to tell me that for 15 years he's existed as an antagonist possum and this is the first time Amanda's made aware of him? EDIT: Furthermore, notice that the possum is messing with amanda for riley's sake. Who feels guilt about sending Riley the tapes/getting her involved in this mess at all? KATE.

Something still bugs me, at the end of the 5th video presumably titled 'Are You Safe?', Why Amanda and Wooly struggle to pull the possum away from the screen? So there is a digital sacrifice of consciousness to demons, and the demons manifest by taking the shape of whatever character of the show the sacrifical process was bound to. Then that's reason to believe that there will be a third possum like demon, but because Jordan heard Joanna and lashed out, maybe learning how his aunt died may cause him to actually protect you when the time comes.

i do have a rather unique theory about wooly what if he is playing both sides not all demons are necessarily 100% evil some are just unlucky souls that took the form due to being in hell and thus viewed as dammed souls or perhaps wooly is trying to subdue amanda's demon form since it dose seem that amanda dose have a bit of a tough time controlling the demon form thing but that is another thing some demons are opportunistic they are not all content being in hell some souls can get desperate and want to escape torture even if for a little bit but that is just a theory i came up with about wolly that perhaps he is a mixed bag cause the demon dose show influnce over him and there are times where you wonder if he 100% evil or could he just be trying his best to survive untill something comes along to perhaps improve odds of victory of freeing the souls he has kinda been playing both sides from what i remember

What I find interesting is the "Amanda entitie" body language in the real ending, after hearing the roar, it stops, thinks for a moment, starts panting, then leaves Riley alone to run away asap, just as if it recognized the wooly entity by the roar, started panicking, and runned "away from it"

So don’t know if anyone has pointed this out in the second one in one of the lore tapes with the person recording in the hospital the person in the background says something about their amygdala so I looked up what it does it’s the it’s the part of the brain that regulates your emotions where fear and anxiety come from and no one really knows who is in the bed cause you don’t get a good view and it’s just I think it is Rebecca in the hospital and anytime her brain functions start messing up is when she starts getting mad in the show or when we scare her

Here's what I think about the first ending. Here comes the paragraph. The first ending could be Amanda abducting her so that Joanne could free her. It would explain why the demon version of her didn't kill her, and pinned her down. It's like an animal that is curios about an object. She saw a soul being freed from the tapes, she must have grabbed her, as a last ditch effort to call out for help.

My take on amanda the adventurer If you plan to use this theory please give me credit The missing kids: So as we know, the show was used to kidnap kids to likely make a deal with their souls for the demons, in exchange for power from the demons the kids' souls are given to the demons and trapped in the show. It's heavily implied Rebecca is Amanda and Jordan is the opossum, so my theory is that the kids who already had a voice acting or part in the show, such as amanda or wooly, were trapped in the parts they played. As for the kids who didn't have a part, I think they were trapped in all the props around the environment with eyeballs. This is proven in 2 ways When you answer Sam when Amanda asks what is a daddy chicken in the original game, the barn looks straight at you with bloodshot eyes. In the original game, in one of the endings you walk in a trap door and become the meat in the butcher shop on the wall. In the icon fir the ending we can see that you also have eyeballs, just like everything else in the show. The souls trapped in the show are likely entertainment for the demons who enjoy people's suffering. My best guess is that it's less for Riley and more to shield herself from anyone on Hameln. But I still think it's more suspicious to constantly wear a mask and really was a disappointing direction. I think they could have hid her identity differently and it would have been more satisfying. Like a hood where we couldn't discern her face. The opening scenes could have focused away from her face so we had intrigue during the game, but not feeling like seeing her face was essential to knowing who she was.
