Just listen to it, then practice your scales in the key you wish to play it in. Then play it. Memorize the tune into your mind. It is the way the most fiddlers do it.

Being able to play only with sheet music similar to being able to talk only when you have book in front of you. Learn to play the same way that you learned to talk.
