Entire series is superb. Would be fantastic if you could do a vid on controls in Agile or DevOps because the example here of traditional SDLC is not relevant as much now as in DevOps removes some SOD by pushing security to Dev. So how and which risks do you apply controls to devops / agile pipelines.
@amandalovestoaudit6 жыл бұрын
Hi! Just so I know I’m on the right track, when you say Agile and DevOps - are you referring to Continuous Development style development? In many of my clients back in the 90s that were doing Continuous Development, the audit of the SDLC was focused around understanding the processes around development, internal controls and segregation of duties. I could teach an entire semester course on IT audits as that is where my career began, and as tech has evolved, the principles of audit remain the same - how are systems changes proposed, authorised, developed, tested and migrated - no matter what the SDLC 😊

What is book name and author name?
@amandalovestoaudit4 жыл бұрын
This would be from a really out of date textbook. Depending on your jurisdiction - most people in the US use a text by one of the major authors - Arens by Pearson, Johnston's book by Cengage or Louwers by McGraw Hill. If you're after an approach that is more IAS based than US standards - I recommend Gay & Simnett - an Australian book but with an international flavour.

Wow - so I elect to teach my class even though I have a really bad cough, I use cough drops to minimise the coughing. I could have elected to cancel and have them simply read the textbook week but put them first. I hope you are more compassionate with your teachers in real life.

Someone who focuses on things like that rather than the content of the lecture and the invaluable knowledge & practical examples being shared should choose to disconnect. It wasn't an obligation, right?
