I know this is an older tutorial, but I like this block so very much, made mine with butter yellow solid, & bright fabrics. Love the background music!

Not only did I enjoy this tutorial Amanda, I adore the quilt you made from these mini double wrench blocks that you've got hanging behind you on some of your posts. You've inspired me to try my own with my favourite bright fabric scraps! ~Diana from Toronto

Thank you Amanda! I had so much fun making samples of 3 different sizes! I am working on cutting out the blocks for his quilt now and I just cannot wait to begin the piecing process. I hung the samples on my sewing room wall for future reference. Thank you for your videos, I have them playing when I am in my sewing room.

Hi Amanda! I am infatuated with this block. I love the visual changes it has. I will be using it for my Grandson's quilt very soon. I am interested in making it just a bit larger, to work better with the owls on one of his fabrics. Have you ever toyed with the size? I am thinking of adding an inch to the blocks. Your churn dash is lovely too, but doesn't have the visual of this block and it is a bit too big for my plans. Opinions? Advice?

+8509Lola That's wonderful! I think this block will make a beautiful quilt for your grandson! To be honest, I haven't thought about making this block any larger as I love the size that it is! All I can say is give it a go by adding an inch onto the measurements and see how it comes together. I don't think you'll have that much of a problem as long as you stick to your correct seam allowances and give everything a good press as you go along. Best of luck!! :)
