와우 정말 좋아하는 중국요리인데 레시피를 찾을수가 없었는데 정말 고마워요! This is the most favorite Chinese food from my childhood. When my grandpa worked trading company he always bring this egg and mooncakes for me every holiday. He was gone long time ago but it always bring me the nice memories when I eat it. I never thought century egg can be made by personal hand. Thanks for sharing! from Korea.

I hope someone could right English closed captions. I've been wanting to learn and understand century egg. They are so creamy and the taste is unique, I like it.

@@natviolen4021 They're usually consumed as side dish with soy sauce and tofu or prepared along with porridge with meat. They may be pretty strange at first, but when youget used to it, it's pretty good. She was exeperimenting with these and some were "failure" sample because they got fermented too much.

@@gimmebackmyarm Pidanfen is the dirt that she used to ferment the eggs. In the past it used to contain Lye which is poisonous but modern formulas don't have that.

Century eggs ‘s really yummy. My family eat them in Lunar New year. Since coming to japan, I couldn’t eat it. Miss taste of this food so much. Hu hu hu 😭😭😭
How long can we store the century egg after a successful batch is made (can keep for how long before it is spoiled)? And also, do we continue to store it outside or keep it in the fridge? I’m used to eating century egg as a condiment with porridge or stir fry it with dishes! 🤤 never tried it with soya sauce! Maybe I’ll give it a try. Sounds interesting.
