I still don't get why they made witchcraft a bad thing when we had witches in the original (Damn people will debate over anything. And YES I understand it's a new universe with new rules and that G1 is different from G3. I just think it's a dumb idea? I always found witches to be something that would TOTALLY fit Monster High since its supernatural. And in my opinion at least. I think it makes more sense to include witches in Monster High. I feel like they only made witches a bad thing to have some sort of "i have a secret I must hide from people" story for Draculaura. And its strictly just for plot purposes. Otherwise in the worldbuilding sense, I feel witches totally fits Monster High. And just to clear the air. I actually really enjoyed this movie. While it was very predictable, I immediately thought Ellis and Z were going to be bad and I predicted Ellis would have a change of heart, I thought the storyline was fun. Draculora is my fav character so I loved seeing more of her. I also really loved Heath. I think the 3rd movie will focus more on Frankie which I’m excited to see. I also was wondering why Clawdeen didn’t turn into a human to get into the cage but whatever. Also it is very noticeable that this movie has a Bette budget and while the fashion still isn’t the best, I think it’s better.

My theory is that while Clawdeen can change into a human, her heart is monster and the Enchanted metal can sense that. With the first movie when she used her human hand to open the lab it wasn't magic it was science so I'm guessing having the touch of a human hand is enough and the mechanism can't sense her minster heart.

Gonna organize my thoughts: - Said this everywhere else, but at least they had to come up with a sorta original plotline for the sequel instead of just stealing from another character and screwing over their entire family. Honestly this movie was better than the first by quite a lot, the pacing was better and the final battle felt more epic than in the first one, also the outfits kinda ate this time around especially Cleo and Draculaura. I have a theory that the third movie is going to be about the love triangle between Deuce, Frankie, and Cleo because we already know that in the movie's cannon Cleo is still trying to get over Deuce and in the G3 show cannon, Frankie and Cleo are a thing (which Cece and Jy the actor amd actress for Frankie and Cleo support the ship so they would be down for it in the movie) and considering that we see Deuce get thrown through the portal and Frankie is the last one we see when the Grimm Reaper comes to get her, I assume Cleo is also going to have a really big role to play on part 3.

As another black woman, I really don't CARE what race a VOICE actor is. Live action actors should match, but a CARTOON is a CARTOON. If races not matching in a cartoon bothers you, you should be mad that Samurai Jack and Elmyra Duff aren't voiced by people who match their races either honey. If you prefer a black VA that's fine but a VOICE actor not being the same race in a CARTOON shouldn't BOTHER someone. I mean nobody gets mad when the NATIONALITIES don't match but if the race doesn't, it;s like "NONONONONO I HATE IT YOU'RE DISRESPECTFUL RACIST NASTY OH!". Also in MH specifially if Clawdeen being voiced by an Italian-American pisses you off than by this logic Frankie should be voiced by a German, Deuce should be voiced by a Greek, Kiyomi should have been voiced by a Japanese, every VA should have matched the race and culture of the character, but no just pick and choose who you don't like. If you care that's your problem but plenty of black people (and other POC) don't get triggered by that. Cleo being played by a light skinned Israeli in the movies, THAT is fine to criticize. Not a voice actor not being black/white/Asian/Latino, because it's a cartoon and most of the time they;re playing westernized assimilated American/Canadian characters who only have ancestry from a certain place, so they're not even putting on an accent where you could tell. Yeah, Clawdeen has a New York accent but that has no specific race connected to it so don't say "blaccent"

When she touched the cage...just throw your shoe at her lol the whole scene was unnecessary drama, the death scene too like it wasn't like when Frankie in G1 sacrificed her life spark bc there was no other option...Clawdeen had so much options here, i wish they tried to make their own plots instead of repeating G1 plots like New ghoul at school and the end of Freanky fusion

Well, this movie made less sense than the first one. Even the message was all over the place. The world-building was also confusing but pretty dark. However, I thought the characters had more personality than in the last movie: Clawdeen was confident, Draculaura was outgoing and Cleo was helpful. The costumes were also better, especially in Draculaura and Torelai's case. The actress who played Torelai did a great job, but I thought that Torelai made up with Clawdeen way too quickly. The VFX were better and we got another batch of great songs, which is the main reason why I like these movies.

Haven’t watch the movie yet so I’ll be back! (Edit) Watched it with my mom- for me it felt like there were more songs than usual. I agree that I know these characters are not like the OGs but I can NOT see clawdeen and deuce together ;-; I honestly thought they were setting up Draculara and Ellis together ngl 5:28 FR! 10:42 THEY KISS!? ah,,I don't remember- even my mind is declining Clawdeen and deuce OVERALL yes the movie was okay! I honestly don't have much to say besides I was really hoping for the whole peace between vampires and witches ceremony thing was gonna be real.

MH 2 are trying so hard to be like Disney Descendants. But I did like the friendship between Clawdeen and Draculaura, they had more chemistry than Deuce/Clawdeen 💀
