Thanks for stopping by and watching my videos! Glad you made it here. This was the return flight of my 6 month San Diego stay last winter. This was my first flight in Lufthansa A380 Economy Class.
I chose to sit in the upstairs economy section. The layout is different and window seats have huge storage compartments! Thats a lot better than downstairs ;)
The service was pretty good and the seat comfortable. Recline was pretty decent even though it was the last seat.

Very good review, thanks. Looks like a great economy class experience. It seems to me as though Lufthansa is one of the very few airlines who are maintaining a high standard these days. When economy on an international airline is better than first on a domestic line, you know something's wrong with domestic airlines. Seriously, I regularly fly Delta First Class and United First Class and it's still nowhere near as nice as Luthansa Economy. And heck, _United is in the same alliance!!!_

VestedUTuber International Airlines are usually always better because they fly international and they take a long time so they put in flight entertainment systems on international airplanes, but on domestic flights, they are sometimes very short so usually only business class and first have in flight entertainment systems on domestic flights.

A tip: always pre order your meal from the vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/whatever options. You will be served first and then be able to use the lavatory while everybody else is tucking into their meals. Never fails.

Great report, amandeuce. I really like the tip about the 2-4-2 configuration instead of 3-3-3. So a family of 4 is perfect for either the 4 across or the 2-2. They should take the upstairs. Plus, the extra storage is huge. It makes life much easier. Although it's not business class, it makes the trip to Europe from the West coast more tolerable. Good video! Thanks.

Wow that was one long transfer to start off with from T8 to TBIT and you used the air side connector. The outdoor terrace on the lounge is a real nice touch, great for LA weather. Parked right next to the A380 at TBIT, its great seeing all the A380's line up at LAX in the afternoon. I enjoyed this report, thanks for posting.

we have been flying with lufthansa for last 45 years and enjoyed every minute of the flight until last few years that was the harshest and most difficult of all. The flight and the attendants were wonderful, the food was always the same on outbound and inbound. We got tired of eating chicken or pasta. At The Frankfurt air port we had to climb the stairs to go to the second floor in order to airport . On our flight from frankfurt to Hanover we also had to descend the stairs to ride the bus and clim the stairs to the plane like 60 years ago. No option for disable people. On the flight from frankfurt to u.s , the electric car driver was so rough and unfriendly that it reminded me of a prison keeper. In Hanover airport, the wheel chair lady was missing in action. Last year again in Frankfurt airport the inspectors were very rough , impolite, argumentive, dry, unpleasant. The air line checking agent refused to print a flight boarding card even though I explained that the automated machine refused to recognize my new passport due to a pick pockets in Madrid , she refused to do it until we walked to section 336 kiosk.. I love lufthansa but will not go to frankfurt airport any more.

it is TRUE! In my experience, Lufthansa was great, the food, the seats, service, entertainment, etc. too. But the problem is when you arrive in Frankfurt for a connection, if you have to change terminals say from A to C, you have to go down and then up two flights of stairs TWO times, which when you take into account how tired you are and also, if you have hand luggage or are in a hurry, is very unpleasant! There is ONE elevator, but you have to wait a long time for it. And my experience is from 2019. Also, the security check is quite stressful as there are a lot of people in a very small space, and as much as they try, they cannot make this a pleasant experience.

KuiperIOn - First of all the map was stuck over Donegal, which is located in the Republic of Ireland (if you look at a map it's that county that is directly West of Derry. Second, of all the term Britain refers to Great Britain, which is England, Scotland and Wales. That's why the official name of the UK is 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.

Just did the same flight. Great experience Pros: - You get to fly the biggest mofo on earth right now. And it's not gonna be there for long cause Airbus announced they'll stop making it. They don't get orders anymore. - Tickets were relatively cheap (€680 per person/2 way) - Decent food - My son got treated with playing cards. We gained another hour playing - Loved the staff, very caring. Not some clichéed super top models, but really caring everyday people. - You get to fly over Greenland (though you'll never get to see it at 40k feet :/ ) - Tail & bottom cams ROCK. Cool feature. Cons - Entertainment system got stuck (in both flights). AND IT WASN'T ME. You have to be really kind to it and let it respond. Gentle touches - Very loooong flight (but there's nothing you can do about it since teleporting has not been invented yet) Suggestions: - Avoid wing seats! This mofo's wings are humongous! You won't get to see anything. During return flight (LAX > FRA) we sat at the back, but felt more turbulence when we were about to enter Ireland. - Don't mess around with the entertainment system. Especially: DO NOT PLAY ANY OF ITS GAMES. It will get stuck and you will have to wait until they hard-reset it. I waited for an hour for this - DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT pay for fly-net (on board wifi). IT DOESN'T WORK. I threw 29 euros down the river Overall it was an AMAZING experience. Wtg Lufthansa.

Excellent Loris. Sometimes when I'm sitting in The staff restaurant I will often look to see what's close on FlightRadar 24 I sometimes see LH"s A380 heading to LAX. That lounge looked great...The TBT looks fabulous now after they done it all out. I see you're nearly hitting 30,000 subs...fantastic when you take in account how many people upload flights now. Ethernet connection in Eco? Must be a first - Do you know if it is only available in the upstairs Eco section? Also sad to see Warsteiner cans instead of bottles but I guess bottles are too heavy. Wonder if they completely changed over to cans or just on the A380?

Hey there. I'm currently considering reserving seat 98K (only window seat that is still available upstairs). I was wondering if the proximity to the lavatory is bothersome and if the recline of the seat was smaller than other seats. I've had the bulkhead seat on the upper deck LH A380 economy on a long haul overnight flight. Best seats in all of the economy class, unrestricted legroom and a very quiet cabin.

I always flew Air France or KLM to Europe (unless there was no other option but to fly one of the U.S. carriers.) But on my last trip, I flew Lufthansa for the first time -- Washington-Dulles to Frankfurt --- and I have to say, the service far surpassed my expectations. Outside some of the Asian airlines, it was easily the nicest flight I'd ever been one. I love AF and KLM and their service has always been great, but Lufthansa took it to another level. Maybe I just got lucky on this flight, but from what I understand, my experience was pretty standard.

I flew on qatar airways' a380 last year, I had the same seat, it's more comfortable than the rest of the economy seats.
